| Jesus replaced the Old Law, the Old Commandments with His New All Encompassing LAW, the LAW OF LOVE. His Liberated Christians were told to obey and follow this New Law of His All the Time !!! It always applies, if we are listening to His Spirit and trying to followHim. Jhn 15:12-14 This is my COMMANDMENT, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye DO whatsoever Icommand you. ... Jhn 15:17 These things I COMMAND you, that ye LOVE ONE ANOTHER. Its a commandment not just a suggestion, as we are told to love exactly as he did, so that there is absolutely no way we can misunderstand exactly what we are expected to do. Love is a Law, it is a Commandment !! It is a summation of all the laws ever written and all the words and laws of all the prophets. Mat 22: 36-40 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the FIRST and GREAT COMMANDMENT. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt LOVE THY NEIGHBOR as thyself. On these two commandments hang ALL the LAW and the PROPHETS. And the only way to fulfill this law of love, is to have love and show and demonstrate love in our everyday lifes. Rom 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to LOVE ONE ANOTHER: for he that loveth another hath FULFILLED the LAW. Gal 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR as thyself. Jesus did NOT come to DESTROY the law, but bring us an all encompassing NEW LAW, that can never ever be circumvented. It always applies and always has jurisdiction. No one can get away with anything. Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to DESTROY the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall EXCEED the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Jesus tells us distinctly that we have to be more righterous and law abiding than the shallow superifical scribes and pharisees or we won;t make it into the kingdom of heaven. Well how can we do that, as they seemingly obeyed the letter of the law outweardly. ? Simple, Jesus is telling us, that only His love in us can fulfill the law and the LAW of LOVE. Only He through us, and not us by ouirselves can make it to heaven. It has to be all Him and not us. It has to be His Grace and MERCY and not our own self righteous works trips. For only His Love fulfills the Law of Love, as our love will always fall short Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Eph 2:8 For by GRACE are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God: We can't fulfill the law on our own, it has to be the Lord's POWER of LOVE in us. We can;t get the credit, He does, For only He is righteous. And we therefore can not elevate ourselves over anyone else or think we are superior to anyone else, for it is ALL... JESUS. Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. But Jesus did NOT die in vain, but by His death, He sent us His Spirit so we can be emPOWERed to live in LOVE.
