God's Wind of Judgment

To help people realise that the Lord sometimes uses instanteous judgments against those that violate His laws, allow me to testify to what happenned to a group of us in the past.

The year would have been the fall of 72, and the place was the Nanaimo, on a farm on Vancouver Island, B.C. Canada. We had an old run down farm, if you could call it that, one horse, one goat, and a couple of dogs and a chicken or two. We had Christian classes all week, and went to down town witnessing or scripturially attacking any civilian we meet on the streets on our two hour jaunts into the other world.

Anyway, we had met and invited over a local guy, who parked in the back, but one of our revolutionary drivers wasn't that careful and clipped his car's rear end ever so slightly. The father of the teenager was mad as hell and demanded we fix it, but of course we didn't even have insurance. We had no money either, so he demanded that we come over and help him at his greenhouse to compensate him for the scratches.

A group of us babes maybe six of us were sent over to his greenhouse, on a Saturday morning to patch up our relations with the father, probably in hopes of getting to witness to the son more. The tyrant of a father was taking off the entire plastic covering of this huge greenhouse complex with the plan being of putting on a brand new one. So all that morning, we all chiopped in and worked together in removing the old weathered plastic from off the frame of the greenhouse. It was quite the task, and we worked faithfully and hard. At lunch we went into the staff lunch room, and ate our packed lunch and started to talk again with the son about Jesus. The father came in and was furious that we were talking with his son. He now demanded that we stop, and just eat our lunches in silence and quickly get back out on the job. We hesitantly obeyed , but a few of us got together quietly and looked up a few verses in our ever present small Bibles.

One of them being, "" Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, the hearts of son of men are fully set in them to do evil (Ecc 8: 11)""" Another being """Don't be happy when your enemy is judged, but fear God""" So we were all in shock in the severity of the crime that the father had done in stopping us witnessing the words of the Lord to his son and maybe even stopped him from receiving Salvation. So we were all expecting something horrible to happen to the father. We knew we weren't to be glad when we saw it, but knew in our new-born absolute faith that the Lord would protect us and punish these evil father. We talked in hush tones and then returned to work.

For after lunch, because we had already taken off the old plastic, we were ready to stretch out and bring across this plastic that must have been 200 feet long. We spaced ourselves out along the length of the green house. Each of us holding a rope connected to the plastic which was on the other side of the structure. The evil father was over there directing us all, as we were to all pull on our ropes at the same time at his command. We glancingly looked at each other, sensing the tension that was building , wondering what the Lord was going to do.

The evil father was harder than ever and treating us like pure dirt, but we continued in obeying his commands. He got us all prepared for the co-ordinated pulling of the sheet up and over his 'worshipped' greenhouse. We did as he instructed even while praying quietly to ourselves. He gave the ORDER to PULL. And in concert, we all started pulling.

But as it started to reach the height of the greenhouse, with all the ropes taunt under the pressure. The wind started up, and not just a breeze. But gustes of wind. They got stronger and stronger. Our ropes got tighter and tighter. The evil father yelled PULL, PULL. We held on as much as we could, and instantly knew the Lord was in the wind. It grew in strength as the whole sheet of plastic started to vibrate and ripple and flap in the gustes. But we held on until it started to rip. From one end of the greenhouse to the other, tears developed with each gust, and ripped that huge plastic into pieces and started throwing them back towards the evil owner on the otherside.

The gusting wind howled and the entire sheet ripped and screeched. Yet the Lord wasn't through as He had a big plastic piece literally undercut the father, lift him straight up in the air maybe eight feet, and then drop him back on the ground. We stood in awe and amazement. And yet after getting our breath back, ran over to our tormenter and asked if he was all right. We all knew we couldn't be glad about the judgments of God because of the verses we had already reviewed earlier at lunch. So in consideration, we ran to his aid. He wasn't that hurt and yet with tears in his eyes, we knew and he knew exactly what had happenned and why and who had punished him. He said. 'Take all the plastic, it's yours you can all go home. The debt is no more."

We gathered up all the ripped heavy duty plastic sheeting and used it to wrap and insulate our farm house from the winter cold. And that night, we testified to all at 'inspiration time' what the Lord had done for us that day, in defending his Honor and His children. For no one dare stop them from witnessing His Truths.
