Hawaiian Ruth's Shark Testimony

In about 1974, I heard Hawaiian Ruth give her testimony. I hope I get it at least close to what she testified to, because it certainly was inspiring. So if any know her present day whereabouts, do let us know, to add any details I have forgotten through the years.

Ruth was a beautiful Hawaiian girl who had met Christian missionaries when they had a home in Honolulu, as they were mainly witnessing to the Armed forces personnel. But what caused her to join them was her story.

She had met the brethren and was visiting the home while working at Sea World where she was part of the dolphin performance. Her act took place inside a sea lagoon that had a protective barrier erected between it and open water. Ruth said that right during one of the performances where she was out swimming among the dolphins, a strange gasp went through the crowd. From their vantage point, they could see a dark sinister object swimming towards her. She was on the opposite of where the dolphins were, and somehow, someway a huge shark, had penetrated the barrier and was swimming right towards her. She was out in the middle of the lagoon and totally helpless, when she too saw the huge dorsal fin of the shark coming straight towards her.

She thought her life was all over. But as her life passed before her, Ruth prayed that somehow the Lord would save her, and allow her to live. And if the Lord would just do this for her, she would serve Him.
The seconds were excruciating long as she waited for the end, but then she felt a dolphin underneath her. She grabbed onto his fin for dear life and was swept away to safety as another dolphin attacked the shark.
Ruth had been pulled from the mouth of the demented shark and certain death, by the dolphins. But Ruth even in shock knew it was only the Lord and because her prayer had been answered. She got herself together, got dressed and never went back to Sea World.

Where did she go? You're right straight into service with the Lord. Ruthie kept her promise to the Lord and started serving the Lord and others in appreciation for what He had done for her !!

May the Lord bless those that give their life for Him because He has given His life for us and saved us all in so many ways.

Love in Jesus
