David Jay Jordan's HOLY SPIRIT Before Jesus’ death, He promised He would send the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth (John 15:26) to His followers, that would guide them into ALL truth. (John 16:13). Jesus said, ‘The Comforter which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.’ (John 14:26) And again after his resurrection, when meeting with his disciples, Jesus told them, ‘to wait for he Baptism of the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:5). He told them ‘Ye shall receive POWER after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the Earth. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come (50 days after Passover and Jesus crucifixion) They were all with one accord in one place, and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they all were filled with the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:1-4) And from then on with the power of the Holy Spirit, the disciples went out and changed the world by witnessing what they had seen and heard and learned. They didn’t go in their own strength but by the strength and wisdom of the Lord. Each of them individually received the Holy Spirit to teach them as hey went, to instruct them, and guide them. And the same is true today (Hebrews 13:8) of anyone that wants to serve and learn from the LORD, you have to have the Holy Spirit !! The only difference from obtaining Salvation is that salvation once received cannot be taken away from you whereas the Holy Ghost can depart from you if you fail to obey her instructions. (I use he word, “her” because in many places the Wisdom of God is considered feminine in the Bible.) The more you obey, the more you give to others, the stronger you get in the Spirit. This is the only way you can grow spiritually as a Christian; you just obey what the Lord wants you to do. And the more you listen to Him, the more He can teach you. But again, like Salvation, you have to ask for it, for he that asketh, receiveth and he that seeketh answers, findeth. And as Jesus said, ‘If we give good gifts unto our children who ask, how much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him.’ (Luke 11-9-13) So why not pray right now, and ask the LORD to baptize you with the Holy Spirit ..…. If you ask you will receive ……In Jesus Name Amen !! And now that you have the Holy Ghost, it doesn’t mean you have to instantly see visions or start to float towards the clouds, but you will now have the Lord’s power to discern His Word. You will be able to hear the voice of His Word (Psalm 103:20) when you are reading. The Lord will actually be talking to you personally. ‘ And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee saying, This is he way, walk ye in it. When you turn to the right hand and to the left (Isaiah 30:21) Instead of hearing the letter of the LAW, you will understand the Spirit of the Law and be able to judge in he Spirit, and hopefully obey. “And a new heart also will I give you and a new spirit will I put within you, and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my SPIRIT within you and cause you to walk in my statues (Ezekiel 36:26-27) For most importantly when you receive the Holy Ghost, because God is a SPIRIT, you will be able to worship Him, in spirit and truth (John 4:24) and there is no Greater Power than His LOVE, for God is LOVE….(1 John 4:7,8) This is the Mystery of Life ! !
