Because most `Liberated Christians' come from the church system and have been indoctrinated by it, usually they base their liberation on exact Bible verses rather than principles of the Lord incorporated and reinforced throughout the Bible. They have been taught to worship only scriptures within the 66 books of the Bible, and therefore have to find reasons within these passages for their sexually liberated faith. This even though the word scriptures is meant ONLY to refer to the exact direct words of the Lord Himself or through His prophets. Hence in frustration because they can't comprehend the overall application of the Lord's Law of Love to all of life including sexuality, they have come up with a negative void type of theology. This meaning if they can't find a law against something, then they say to themselves, that it is then O.K. for them to engage in that activity. Furthermore, they usually tend to think, that if they do find these types of voids, then they can engage in these sexual activities with total immunity and nothing they do within its bounds will be considered a sin. Many seem to even start thinking, that once they get sexually liberated, they will no longer sin sexually. This because in their minds, they fell their liberation means they are free from sinning anymore, all bounds are gone, irregardless of their motivations and conditions of their hearts. Yet can I suggest that they and we can still sin even if we have been liberated from the church doctrines that sex is automatically a sin outside marriage. We still can have the wrong spirit or have the wrong situation, or the wrong partners, or lack of consent my others, or any of a number of other shortcomings. In other words, liberation does not necessarily make us instant saints sexually or any other way. We can still sin, and yet have more freedom to enjoy the Lord's liberties if we keep in mind and heart his rules and laws of love. So I would say, this aforementioned theology can easily be called a `Christian Loophole Sexual Theology', because they seem to search for loopholes and voids in scriptures where it doesn't specifically denounce their particular sexual activity, so that then they can deem it `acceptable'. It's truly a negative pursuit, when in fact they could have a positive all encompassing "LOVE" approach to any situation, in any culture, by just following the Lord's Spirit and His all encompassing laws of love. Yet because these Christians basically haven't been able to positively associate love with sexuality as Jesus taught, nor been able to see how their Lord would have had sexual relations. Hence their `loophole theology' gives them a type of recreational liberty that they desire, rather than the spiritual-sexual principles that would apply to much, much more than recreational sexuality with others. For usually, they are unable or unwilling to comprehend divine spiritual sex, and so just relegate their liberty to the level of stolen sexual escapades away from church eyes. They thinking these liberties they have been given the right to partake in secretly, but most are petrified in thinking that their home church might some day find them out. For most of these liberated church Christians, do want to return to their more holy and sanctimonious services within the framework of what they really believe in and what they really trust…. the worldly anti-sexual church system. You might think this too harsh on them, but do consider this honest appraisal of their `loophole theology'. For it does not allow them to grow spiritually. It is an objective assessment rather than a personal subjective one. Loopholes should not be the basis of any real FAITH. Negative Voids are hardly something to put one's trust in, and yet they do. This even though, the Lord plugged up every excuse with His words when he came. For His Law was not weaker and milder and less strict that the old Mosaic law, but much stronger and all encompassing, so that it applies to all of life, because it covered all circumstances and all conditions. The law of love is not wishy-washy and inexact and full of loopholes for selfish pleasures regardless of consequences to others. Jesus' law goes right to our hearts so that at all times we must search our hearts individually to see whether or not what we are planning to do is legitimate and follows the guidelines of love to the Lord and love to others. We are not free to do anything because the Lord knows our hearts and He wants us to direct our lives according to His WILL and LOVE. We aren't to try and circumvent the laws of the Old Testament like the Scribes and Pharisees seemingly were successful in doing. We don't want to get blasted for our devious self-righteousness in pretending to obey the law like them. We don't want Jesus to say to us For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. And we can avoid the Lord saying this to us, if we search our hearts before doing anything so that we don't hurt or commit sins against anyone or against HIM. This is a huge difference from external laws, for the Lord's law of love is meant to be hidden in our hearts for all times. It is what is suppose to lead and guide us, rather than us trying to find loopholes in external laws of do's and don'ts (Psalm 37:31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. Isaiah 51:7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.) Jesus' law of love is a summation of all the laws as Jesus said Himself. There are no loopholes, as these PRINCIPLES of LOVE are incorporated in the Bible History whether written in the Bible or outside the Bible or spoken to us by His Spirit. We are suppose to understand these all encompassing principles of love in our hearts and souls. Ours is a very personal walk with a very personal Lord, because He does speak to us individually about every thing we do or don't do. Ours is not a religion based on mere written laws, that are so easily circumvented. The Lord gives us a new heart via his Spirit A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you:and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 36: 26) For only with His love in our hearts can we fulfill the law whether the Old One or the New One. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. (Romans 13: 10) We just can no longer be self righteous and holy thinking we have kept the 10 Commandments like the foolish Scribes and Pharisees, nor self righteous in thinking we have obeyed all the church laws established by man-made churches, like the church people do.. We can only obey the Lord if we love the Lord and obey from the heart the Lord's convictions to walk in His Law of Love. Only His Love can fulfill His Law. And therefore, all we can possibly do is walk humbly with our God. He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God (Micah 6: 8) For we like all others, are sinners saved only by His Grace, and yet within his Love, His positive all encompassing love, He does give us freedom if we are trying to love others. If ye continue in My Word, then are ye my disciples indeed, and ye shall KNOW the truth and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31, 32) His truth makes us free not 'loophole theology'. David and Trixie |
