David Jay Jordan's No Pain Lasts Forever From my experiences in life, nothing lasts forever whether it is good times or bad times. Things change and therefore the best thing we can do is to know that they are going to change and keep the faith and keep our integrity and stay close to the Lord in both circumstances. Don't go wild in good times, keep your cool, and stay close to the Lord and the principles that got you there. In bad times, don't fret you can make it through, things will change, hang in there, keep giving and keep living. The pain and suffering will subside, there is nothing that you can't live through. Don't take your own life. Nothing is unbearable. The Lord will deliver you. Something will happen, the strength shall come with the dawn of each new day. Rest your mind. If you’re condemned by your past, remember no crime is too atrocious to make amends for. No conviction is so strong and unrelentling that you can't do something about it. There is always forgiveness with the Lord if you make an effort. If you have a change in heart like Saul who was literally killing Christians ( a seemingly unforgivable sin) life can go on for you. You can be a blessing to others. You can rise from the ashes. There is never an excuse for killing yourself...never. I talked and talked with a Vet-Nam veteran who simply kept refusing to believe that Jesus could forgive him for killing women and children in Viet Nam during the War. It was on his conscience day and night, for he truly had done some horrific acts. He couldn't sleep and went to church for guidance. And all the pastor told him was that...Murder was an unforgivable sin and that he would have to pay the price because of what he did, that was the LAW. I told him over and over again that Jesus could forgive Him and he could go on. Jesus could forgive Him. I showed him scripture after scripture, but he just couldn't get what the pastor told him. He almost wanted to pay for his own sins. He figured he deserved to die, and he just didn't believe or want to believe that Jesus would forgive him for what he did. How could Jesus forgive him for what he did. We sadly parted as there was nothing more I could say and unfortunately I found out later that he committed suicide. He didn't have to. He didn't have to die. He could have accepted forgiveness, He could have received Grace and not condemnation. No one has to die...another death didn't help anyone else live. No one has to die. He could have given the rest of his life to others. He could have if he only would have. For everyone of us is needed, no matter what condition we are in. It matters not, for we are loved by the Lord. He made us, He created us and He can forgive us and give us a new start. He can change us and use us. All you have to do is make it through one more day, one more night and things will change. It's guaranteed. The Lord will do something, you will find a friend, a new hope,....for Jesus said """I will never leave thee nor forsake thee""" (Heb 13:5b). And because He won’t leave you, there is hope. You will make it. Don't give up prematurely. Don't be a quitter. You made it this far, you can make it one more day, one more night. Suicide is NOT a way out, it is not an option, it is not a way to heaven. Rebuke that dam thought and fight one more day. Nothing lasts forever, so your pain will leave you and you will go on to a brighter day. And you and I and all your brothers and sisters in the Lord shall be together one day. We need you, it won't be the same without you. So hang on, Jesus loves you with ALL HIS HEART. Love in Jesus Jay Last changed: June 02, 2001 Davidjayjordan@yahoo.com |
