| David Jay Jordan's Nostradamus was Not a Prophet There are definitely prophets outside the ones written in the Bible as the Lord has had his prophets from the very beginning and will have them to the very END. But Nostradamus was Not one of them in my opinion. For remember a true prophet says very distinct things that will happen, and doesn't couch his prophecies in double speak. He isn't vague, so that he or his followers can twist his loose wording any way they want so that eventually somehow, someway it can seem to prophesy some future event. (SEE No Prophecy shall fail) Paul wrote"Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?" (1 Corinthinains 14: 6-8) True prophets are clear and concise, and straight forward to the Lord's people, (including Women Prophetesses) for even the Lord spoke plainly to His own sheep and explained His parables to them. So similarly the Lords prophets don't speak in loose lipped verse references and so-called total mysteries, but give a clear signal from the Lord on upcoming events. They agree with past scriptures and past prophecies but only add more information to what the Lord has already givenm to His Prophets and Prophetesses. New prophecies won't be totally 'out of the blue' but should be confirmed somehow, someway by the Lord's other prophecies. They all have to fit together to be of the Lord ,,,and Nostradamus's prophecies in no way link to any prophecies I have ever read or studied in the Bible. Most prophecies are not conditional but unconditional and they will happen "Thus saith the Lord", because a prophecy is suppose to be the direct WORD of God and not just somebodies opinion. And if one direct prophecy fails, that was directly stated by a prophet or prophetess and it doesn't come to pass, then they weren't of the Lord. Simple and straight forward... we are all allowed to have our opinions and interpretations even when they differ, but when somebody says. Thus saith the Lord' that is another matter and much more serious. Deuteronomy 18:22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. Therefore Nostramdus was not a prophet in my opinion, and was just a religious con-man with his wishy washy vague, interpret anyway you want poetry and reframes. He wrote to support himself and to appear to have prophetic vision, so that the hierarchy would continue to support him. A charlatan in my opinion. And besides, he makes no sense and yet all the sense in the world to the worldly.. Why, because you can read absolutely anything into his writings and hence be a so-called believer of his insanity....no matter what happens in the present or future.
