David Jay Jordan's Sin Against the Holy Ghost The mysterious and frightening words of Mathew 12: 3, have frightened Christians ever since the beginning .... "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men." So we really should find out what this unforgiveable sin is, so we can avoid doing it at all costs. Act 5:1 - 5 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. (From an email question) Thank you for your help David. I am sorry I have not written to thank you earlier. You have been very helpful to me. I have though just something bugging me regarding salvation. What is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit and can it be forgiven. (Its simply rejecting the HolySpirit's leading and guidings to accept JESUS as your Saviour and if you have done it, then you didn;t resist, and can never be accused for rejecting his love, and the forgiveness of all your sins. If you had rejected Him, you would have rejected his forgiveness and then he could never forgive you. But thankfully you didn;t and so you don;t have to worry but just go on with the Lord) Jesus was sacrificed for all sin, but he said no one would be forgiven for that particular sin. (Exactly) Surely he died for it? (Not that one, as He can;t force his forgiveness on anyone if they reject Him, they have to choose it by CHOICE) will those who have blasphemed never be saved because of the sin they commited? (They have to pay for their own sins, and the wages of sin is death) Could it be that God will not lead them who commit it to repentance? (He tried to...but they hardened their hearts, nevertheless maybe in hell or in the hereafter, they shall have a change of heart and be allowed another chance, for the mercy of the Lord is everlasting) Surely someone like the apostle Paul might have commited it (We all commit the most outrageous sins worthy of death like King david who was quilty of rape, and even murder to cover up his rape.... but there is still forgiveness of all sins from the Lord. For he and she that has been forgiven little, loveth little. And that just means we don;t have to sin more, but see how really bad our sin has been and repent, and be the lowest because Jesus is the only reason we can have Salvation, and it is not because of any of our own goodness. Amen?) and been forgiven? I think God can forgive them but I am not sure whether he has or will? (He has forgiven us when we accepted His Son, for our past sins, present sins and even future sins, for we still are sinners, and always will be. So just thank the Lord for the LORD, and let's do our best in sharing His Love and promise for total forgiveness to ALL that want it. Don't you agree ?. Cause once you are saved, you are always saved, and we don;t have to any longer worry about 'Sinning against the Holy Ghost') Love in Jesus David) |
