| David Jay Jordan's Sleeping with the Enemy and Idols While researching something different I came upon Ezekiel 23, which is about as clear as clear can get concerning the damnable sin of adultery, and no where does it seem to suggest that the Lord is against sexual activity. This appears to be their new God from their new people. The adultery is not just with the enemy but with idols and images as well. Its a spiritual forication with a different God, from the God that made them and delivered them.. For just like the Whore of Revelation, they are making love to her for the things she can give them and they are drunk in intoxication and the greed for more idols. Revelation 17: 1,2 Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. For the Lord says the same thing through Ezekiel in the Old Testament.... Eze 23:30 I will do these things unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idols. Eze 23:35 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bear thou also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms. . Eze 23:36 The LORD said moreover unto me; Son of man, wilt thou judge Aholah and Aholibah? yea, declare unto them their abominations; Eze 23:37 That they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to pass for them through the fire, to devour them. **************************** In other words they got into these foreign men so much that they started worshipping this foreign heathen God, that they literally threw their children into the fires in front of the God Mammon, just like the heathen did. And literally sacrificed them to this evil god. In almost anyone's book, this is and was surely a sin. And yet they did do this and will continue to do this even into the future. And yet, the first commandment still applies, that we are to love the Lord God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and not honour a False God. Loving a different God whether it be things or a false religion taught to us by a lover, husband or friend, is surely adultery... because we are suppose to be wed to our first love ... Jesus? Isaiah 54:5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall He be called. In His Service David Hmmm ................ so maybe this means we have to watch it when we associate socially and sexually and other ways with unbelievers and try if possible to stay with the loving and even with Christians if we can find them, and try not to get caught up in the materailism and idols and false religions of this world. We are told to flee Babylon the Whore rather than get sucked in by her gifts and her false promises. (SEE Prophecy Mysteries) Which reminds me, once when visiting new people, I stayed at their house one night in a bedroom filled with South Pacific voodoo dolls, stick men, and all the other so-called cool trappings. I had horrible nightmares, concerning them. Woke up, prayed against them and their spirits, put them out in the hallway, and had a good night's sleep until the morning.
