Star of Bethlehem was an 'Angel'

The usual interpretation of the Star that directed the wise men from the East to Bethlehem, is that it was just that ..... a 'Star'. But I would differ, as stars in the night sky, don't change positions and don't hoover over specific villages or places on Earth. The whole night sky seems to rotate to us HERE on Earth as the night goes on, because the Earth itself is rotating. Yet lights in the night sky do not hold their same position, they move from horizon to horizon from duak to dawn..

So a literal heavenly body would hardly seem to direct any wise astrologers from the east to the West and towards Jerusalem. And yet if the Lord had a stationary star, or bright object like a shining angel position itself right over Jerusalem, then wise astrolgers from the east, would definitely notice that that this new star was out of place and not rotating but staying stationary over a spot, West of them. This surely making them, venture together towards this strange special 'sighting'. But you may say now can a star be an angel ? Well do notice that in scriptures, stars and angels can be synonomous....as we shall even become stars.

Daniel 12: 3  And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

And in multitudes of scriptures, angels shine and are so bright that they make us mere mortals cover our eyes because of their brilliance. Don't believe me, well when the wise men arrived in Jerusalem and talked with Herod, Herod directed them to Bethlehem,

Mathew  2: 1  Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,  Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet," And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

Mathew  2: 7  Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. When they had heard the king, they departed;  and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

So the star, or angel was not in the East now, but went before them towards the south because Bethlehem is south of Jerusalem. And then stopped and stood over the house/manager where Mary had given birth to Jesus. Yet if the star was a billion million miles above the earth, the wise men would not have been directed south five miles by a star that far away, and it wouldn;t seem to stand over a manager outside of Bethlehem. And so surely the Star of Bethlehem was more like a moving angel that shone as bright as a star, to direct these men from the East to Jerusalem and then south to Bethlehem. I would say this star was truly bright and large and an angel. If not, it was a moving ball of fire directed by the Lord, to direct those that would come to worship the King of Kings. But seeing there were so many angels singing and around the manager at Jesus' Birth, why not one more, an especially powerful one to show the Light of the NEW BORN KING.

Gabriel and Michael had spoken to Mary and Joseph, so they had to be there, as no place was ever more important in all of HIS-story. All creation was singing and in praise to the Lord of Lords and the Creator right then and there, so why couldn't the STAR of Bethlehem also be one of the Lord's ANGELS ?

Luke  2: 8   And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the ANGEL of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the ANGEL said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this [shall be] a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the ANGEL a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth peace, good will toward men.

For this was no ordinary birth but the birth of the prophesided Messiah who was God... (SEE
Jesus is God).

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9: 6

For Jesus was the Everlasting Father, and Jesus was the Mighty God, and Jesus was even the Creator of the Angels that surrounded him and glorified Him at His Earthly Birth, because Jesus was from the Beginning. So I believe the Star of Bethlehem was much, much more than a blazing rock billions of miles away, but a shining angel of the Lord, showing Letting their light shine before men, that they might glorify their Messiah who was born in Bethlehem, the birthplace of King David.of Old.

Because as the next verse stated ... Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.

For JESUS was and is and will always be the King of Kings !!!

      Loving Him

       David
