| David Jay Jordan's Thank God We Don't Fit In If you just don’t seem to fit into the world, don’t feel so bad about it, because you weren’t meant to fit in If we did, then we probably wouldn't be the Lord's children, but children of the world. Sure you can look around and probably say that the church people seem to fit in, and they appear to be well off and well adjusted to the world. So why don't we fit in ?? Why because they are usually of the world deep inside but true Christians aren’t meant to fit in, we are NOT of this world and whether we like it or not we just can't think like them nor talk like them nor act like them. We have different motivation, different priorities, and a different Master. I mean I swear people can just sense that I'm not one of them. I can dress well, speak well, or even tell spicy jokes. But they still know I'm not one of them. I and we can try to make friends and actually make some, but if they aren't Christian like us, the friendships are superficial. They're university friends, they're baseball buddies, but they aren't deep friendships like Joy and I have between ourselves. What we talk about over the breakfast table, would send so-called normal people away screaming. It's not normal worldly chit-chat. Matter of fact, we constantly talk about the end of this world and the start of the Lord's rule. We don't like it here in this hell on earth and don't like the way the devil's people are running things. We don't like the hardness of hearts and the separation of people into competitiveness and isolation. And we just can't get into idle chitter-chat with people at work and play. We try, but it's a half hearted effort, because it is so depressing talking about materialism and pride and whatever else the goyum's talk about. So in my opinion, THANK GOD, we don't fit in. For we seek a better country, a better city who's builder and maker is the Lord. For if in this life only we receive the blessings, then we of all men are most miserable. But our day will come and our LORD will come !! Thank God !!
