David Jay Jordan's Transparent Fine Linen of the Saints I can't prove this absolutely and it's only a theory, but how do you picture the fine linen that is given to the Saints by the Lord himself. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. .... Revelation 19: 8 Is it thick or is it thin and transparent ? Is it see through and reveal our glorious bodies, 'Made in His Image', or does it cover them in modesty ? That is the question ? For I was watching 'Women Pharoahs' on Discovery channel and their female pharoahs were wearing 'fine linen' that was transparent, so as to show the glories of God tastefully and seductively. It seemed to usually be a rectangular cloth, that was cut and shaped as much for revelation as for concealment of that which was holy. It was designed to be erotic. So is that the way our robes shall be designed because the Egyptians stole all their knowledge from the Lord. (SEE Stolen Knowledge). Therefore is this another example of them taking one of the Lord's designs for their own earthly purposes ? And yet the question remains, would the Lord totally cover up what He so beautiful made. Would the purpose of our heavenly clothes be to accentuate His Beautiful Creation, or totally hide it. For isn't it possible that our fine linen could be transparent and only partially covering us, and certain of our more intimate parts. Wouldn't our heavenly robes be just like a beautiful frame that just bounds and accentuates the art within rather than totally covering it. (See What is Beauty) For again, what will we have to hide when we have our new bodies. And won't we radiate through any clothing anyway ? So why couldn't and wouldn't we be dressed in transparent white linen ? For we like Aaron and the Levites will be ministers of the Lord during the Millinium, won't we ? Exodus 28: 4-5 And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office. And And they shall take gold, and blue, and scarlet, and FINE LINEN For the Lord covers our nakedness, in beautiful FINE LINEN, for we are His Bride Ezekiel 16: 8-12 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine. Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil. I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with FINE LINEN, and I covered thee with silk. I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck. And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head. The angel's wear fine linen as they minister to us, as written about by Daniel Daniel 10:5 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in LINEN, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: And the Lord's priests, saints and warriors always seem to wear fine linen, even when we go to battle. . Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in FINE LINEN, white and clean. So is there any reason why it has to be opaque, and any reason why it can't be so fine, that it is 'transparent' just like the gold in his city. Because if honesty and truth make the inside visable on the outside, why not make the outside transparent to the inside. For He hath made all things beauitful even our robes of righteousness .... and we have nothing to hide. In My Opinion David Jay Jordan |
