| Thomas and Jesus in India - Architecture Let's face it, some of us are not spiritual enough to just sense spiritual love, without our senses of feeling touching and seeing to believe in love. Most of us are like Thomas, and have doubts unless we see the Lord, and touch Him in person. For so called doubting Thomas, wasn't so doubting but wanted proof that Jesus resurrected from the dead, and so Jesus showed him his wounds and showed him that He was real. Thomas touched the Lord, and it was only then that he declared what we all should declare. 'MY LORD and MY GOD' Some can believe just because of the Lord's WORDS, but others need more prove, which is why the Lord can use us, to touch others with His LOVE. For if we don't who will. . Hereby perceive we the love [of God], because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down [our] lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels [of compassion] from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. (I John 3:16-18) We have to see the need and then do it as others need to see, feel and fell the love of the Lord to KNOW the Lord loves them...for He has no hands but yours to show His love, whether we minister with food, clothes or other needs of theirs. And interestingly, Thomas went to India in his missionary journeys for the Lord after knowing the Lord was the Messiah and dedicating his whole life to Him. For HERE in INDIA, it is said, that Jesus journeyed somewhere after the age of 12 before the Lord started His Mid East Ministry at the age of 30.. There are different opinions on why temples were decorated with sexually explicit sculptures. One group argues that the old kings lived in obscene luxury and that they used these for excitement. The steps are like the feet, the Ardhmandapam are the knees, the Mandapam represents the curvaceous thighs, the sanctum-sanctorum is like the ovaries, and since it is very dark where the Linga is installed, it represents the sexual organ, etc. For a long time, the pundits have wondered why it was necessary to decorate a place of worship with sexual material, but if one observes the materialistic (Loukika) thoughts of Hinduism, there is nothing unnatural about them. In the above 'Excerpt', they missing the mark on a few concepts. Such as the ovaries being the sanctum-sanctorum, when the original temple was the Tabernacle, and the Holy of Holies was the inner sanctum that was totally dark, because it co-relates exactly to the WOMB of the greatest Temple, the inner sanctums of a woman...the last and most beautiful CREATION of the Lord. For when His seed and light enters HER, she conceives and gives BIRTH to LIFE. This being the Light of the Lord, His/Her Spirit above the ARK of the Lord. And so seeing and feeling and the erotic that leads to love, can be displayed outside the temple walls, to draw particpants INside the door, and inside the ARCH, and inside the vaginal li[ps or gates to give them LIFE.
