Some of you must have heard of the boycott done in Austin beginning last year by Texas Contractors and Suppliers for Life, led by Chris Danze. The boycott was against anyone who would build a 25,000 foot complex for Planned Parenthood in Austin, TX--some of the complex would be used for performing abortions. The strategy was to send the names of any businesses participating in the construction of the complex to business and, most importantly, all of the local churches. The idea is that these construction companies would hurt more losing the bids to build new churches than to build just one complex for Planned Parenthood. See this article for the old news on it.

For a while the boycott was going well. But a company called Rainbow Materials that apparently needed the money recently provided the cement. CD Henderson, based right here at home in Garland, TX, is the contractor for this project.

Some of your grandfathers probably fought Nazis to defend, among other more important things, capitalism. The basis of the capitalist system is that the consumers rule. We can use the capitalist system to defend some of those "other more important things" I mentioned, like life and liberty.

So here's the deal, homies. If you want to voice a complaint to Rainbow Materials, their number should be this: 512-385-7676. CD Henderson's website is right here. Their Garland number is 972-272-5466. Austin location: 512-441-2545.

(Also, it seems that the Browning-Ferris Waste Disposal Company supplied some dumpsters to Planned Parenthood at this site. Jason Rowe is the operations manager for BFI. Email him at jason.rowe@awin.com or call at 512-274-5647.

I feel that this could be a very good way to let your voice be heard. Feel free to disagree with me on that one, but remember that as Christians we are called to do what's right, defend the helpless (Proverbs 31:8-9 provides a relevant principle), and generally oppose atrocities like abortion. Do so in whatever way you think best, but please, please do so!
