The Snipe thinks that Truth and Love are both of ultimate importance. To not speak the truth for love's sake would be a crime, one most likely committed with good intentions. To speak the truth without love would be a crime, one most likely committed with good intentions. To speak untruth without love would demonstrate virtually a complete failure to do what's right. To speak the truth with love would be precisely what the world, the church, and every human being needs.

It often seems as if all men love either truth or love. It is certain that there are many who do not love both. It is also the case that there are many who love love and will never learn to love truth thereby. However, there are many who love truth and will soon learn to love love thereby. This is because it is a truth that love is good, and we must love it. Loving truth to the exclusion of love, if only we are attentive, we will soon see to be a big illogical mistake. Loving love to the exclusion of truth, however, provides no such fail-safe. Although we may even suspect it to be the truth that love is of infinitely more value than truth, truth, however, must come first.
