With or without any personal opinions on icons or on the ecumenical movement, it's a pity DBU is acting so darned ecumenical in chapels these days, and using images on occasion, without noticing what we're doing. There may be no harm in going ecumenical, but it's kind of dumb to go anywhere and think you're not moving.--HS

I don't know if I'm talking to the BGCT or DBU's administration or if it's Satan and the rest of them are just not clever or not courageous enough to oppose it, but whoever you are I'm onto your little scheme to take conservative young minds and change them, wreaking havoc with their theology and training them to be as stupid as possible. Well, I am delighted to tell you that you can't have them, not all of them. We're here, we Snipers. We won't let you have every student's theology and intelligence, nor drive a wedge between the church and the embittered remnant that you couldn't fool.

I agree with the Head Snipe in his essay about Passion for Truth : Correct me (I beg you) for speaking the truth ungently, without love. Correct me when I speak what is incorrect But I will not be mocked: never tell me not to speak the truth; never tell me that what I speak is not the truth when it is.

The Trinity apart! How can this be! How can the center of the universe, how can that which holds all existence together, how can this be separated? How did the universe not fall apart, how did the stars in the galaxies not spin apart in all directions? --Head Snipe, from "The Trinity Apart"

The fundamentalist/modernist controversy is over, and the fundamentalists won. The fundamentalist/neo-orthodoxy controversy is in full swing among Texas Baptists. --Mark Boone

Separation of church and state is no excuse for separation of morals and state. Christians should vote pro-life.--Gene Edward Veith (paraphrased)

Wives don't belong in the kitchen, but moms just might.

Faith is very difficult, but a dose of reality makes it a lot easier.--Snipe member
