Some sacrifice's are worth the world 6
By Firesong & Limo Lady's
Logan wheeled his Harley out of the garage and up to the front gates. He needed to calm down, needed to get his head straight. Remy's scent was fading fast, and God only knew where Remy went when he was hurtin'. He looked at his watch; it was about three in the morning. Remy had been gone for hours. He sat on his bike, revved the engine, and listened to it purr. Should he go back inside and wait with the others? 'Nah. I made this mistake myself, and I'm gonna fix it myself. If Remy wants me ta stay away from him after this then fine. It'll break my heart, but I gotta see him and tell him 'im sorry.'
He set off onto the roads, the engine smooth and strong. The wind in his hair, the night was real cool, and would have been perfect for one of their walks, but instead Logan was out huntin' down one the few things he really cared about in life, and he was damned if he was gonna loose it now. The beast in him had pushed Remy away. The man in him was gonna get him back, clean him up, and set him free. He hoped forgiveness would let Remy come back and stay. Give him a chance to make things right. Logan snorted to himself. He wasn't the poetic type, but then there was a lot of things he didn't believe himself capable of, before Remy came into his life.
Logan pulled out on to the interstate about half hour later. The scent was getting better and soon Logan thought he would have no problem locating Remy. The problem that he was having, was of the memories of what happen the night before, were getting harder to shake off. He had heard Remy pleading with him to stop his attack, but Logan’s feral side had a firm hold on him. He lusted for the body that he had buried himself in. So young, so tender, so exotic. He could hear himself howling as he came buried inside that sweet body. His orgasm was strong and soul moving. He then remembered waking up and finding the bloody sheets and trying to figure out what had happened and when he did.
Confusion and pure anger was all that was left. He was angry with himself, to the point of loathing himself. He had made a promise that he would protect and love Remy with all his heart. He didn’t want to ever hurt him and he had. Now he had to find his lover and try to make amends with what he had done. His emotions were running wild. 'You’re an idiot Logan. You had started something good with Remy and you blew it. If I have to search the rest of my life, I will find ya’ Rems. I’m not going to let it end this way. I’m not going to let you stay with him. With Sinister. I did this to ya’ and I’m goin’ to save you and hope that you will still have me.' He pushed his bike even harder not caring that he was breaking every rule of the road. He had one thing on his mind. Find Remy and bring him home in one peace and show him how sorry he was. He was determined that he and Remy were gonna be happy, and damn what people like Warren and some of the others thought.
Back at the mansion, everyone was gathered in the meeting room waiting for Jean and Scott to arrive. Bobby was an emotional wreck. Knowing who Remy was going to, but not knowing where he was. His heart was breaking slowly. He loved Remy with all his heart, but never acted on his feelings knowing that Remy and Logan were an item as it were. His hatred toward Logan was indefinable.
Finally everyone was assembled. Scott started to explain the details to everyone, “Alright, listen up. We are going in search of Logan and Remy. I will not talk about why Remy has run off, just that it is our job to find him and bring him home alive. Logan has already left in search of him and quite frankly I don’t know where Remy is going, but in his mental state we need to find him as fast as possible.” Warren Worthington, alias Angel spoke up. “What do you mean you don’t know where he is?” Scott sighed.
“Just that Warren, I don’t know where he’s going.” A big smile spread across warren's face. "Well that’s good then. Maybe we can all get some sleep now huh?" Betsey elbowed him, and Jennie gave him a mental slap. "It's not the attitude of an x-man to talk about a team mate like that." Scott scowled.
"But it's the attitude of an x-man to lie, cheat and steal from his friends." Warren refused to back down. He was damned if he was going let the Cajun off so easily. .Storm stood up, the air around her began to crackle with energy. "We have all made our mistakes in this life Warren…" She warned. "But we should all be given the chance for redemption and forgiveness. My brother has been given enough punishment from us and himself, therefore it is our duty to find forgiveness and carry on as a family." She moved closer to Warren. "However, if I for one second find that you continue to punish him, I will make sure that you never do it again… understood." Warren nodded and backed down.
"And I too assure you Mr. Worthington, it shall not go unnoticed." Hank too raised his voice to Remy's defense.
Scott waited for Storm to return to her seat, before addressing the team again. "The professor is at this very moment using Cerebro to find Gambit. Rogue, Warren and Storm I want you three to get out there and start scouting the area. Hank, I want you contacting the nearest hospitals to find if Gambit has perhaps been admitted there…"
“He’s going to Sinister.” Bobby interrupted quietly. Everyone turned at once to look at him. Rogue laughed, her southern drawl heavy, “So tha’ traitor goes back to the master. I knew we shouldn’t trust him.” Bobby couldn't stand any more. His anger snapped. “He’s not a Traitor!" Rogue just smiled and crossed her arms. Bobby was easy to swat if he made a move against her. They'd all be having ice cones for months.
Jeanie moved to his side, trying to calm him. "Bobby… please."
"He’s left because of what happened between him and Logan. They had a fight and because of jerks like him…" He pointed at warren. "Remy feels like that's the only place he belongs."
"But Remy should know that his home is here despite…" She wanted to say jerks too, but it wouldn't help the situation with name calling. "Certain… attitudes, of other team mates."
"I know that, but that’s the way he is thinking right now. I saw it in his eyes when he left. He doesn’t know where he belongs. Like I said he is so lost. We have to find him and bring him home."
"Like hell we do." Rogue spat quietly. Only loud enough for Bobby to hear, but then in a louder tone she added. "When you've stopped becoming an all knowing telepath Bobby, why don't ya just go watch your cartoons, I think there's a Bugs Bunny re-run on."
"I don’t give a DAMN what most of you think of me or Remy, but he belongs here with us.” Jean rubbed his arm gently.
“Bobby? We will find him and bring him home I promise." The intercom buzzed and the professor voice came through loud and clear. "Cyclops, I have located Logan. It wasn’t easy. But have I found him. Everybody is to move out now. I will be sure to transfer the co-ordinates to the blackbird's computer.” Scott nodded in agreement and turned to face the others, “Let’s move out.”
It took a matter of minutes for everyone to get set up, and strapped in their seats. The atmosphere was tense, and Scott made a mental note to speak to everyone when this was over. Trying to keep the team together was becoming more difficult everyday. It was even harder when he wasn't sure which side was right.

As Remy was being led through tunnels, he thought of what was once his life. He was at war with himself. On the one hand he knew that what he was doing was wrong. This was not where he should be. Time and time again, Sinister had used him and abused him in one way or another. His rational side was telling him to fight and get the heck out of this place. But, his irrational side told him that Sinister would treat him the way he deserved. He was desperately trying to shut out the rational side. After wandering for what felt like miles, Remy was stopped outside a door. And he now knew it was too late. He came here and here he would stay and take whatever was given to him. As far as he was concerned, he couldn’t stop his charm power while making love and he was afraid that Logan could seriously hurt him again. He loved Logan with all his heart and he knew that if Logan hurt him, Logan would be the one to suffer. Remy couldn’t do that to Logan. “Dis’ is fo’ de best. Sinister would be safer.” Remy thought to himself, hoping that his rational voice would not say anything. But, that just didn’t happen. 'Safer. Right! Just t’ink of all de t’ings he done to you. Sinister is a usa’ an' you know it.' Remy fought once again and his irrational side silenced the rational voice once more. He felt someone shove him in the back and he was brought into the here and now. Sabertooth shoved him once more and then grabbed him by the neck and whispered maniacally in his ear. “Maybe if you’re a pain in the neck to the boss, he’ll let me have some fun with you. You still owe me from the last time. I never finished with you.” He ran his tongue along Remy’s neck and he released Remy and left the room laughing. A chill ran down Remy’s spine and froze him to the core. The lights where turned down and the only items of furniture was and table and chair and a queen size bed. Remy could not make himself move to either of those, so there he stood. Waiting for his future. What that consisted of he did not want to think about. As far as he was concerned his future was here and fate had sealed any chance of escape.

Wolverine stopped his bike. The wind had changed and trail had come to a fork. He was unsure which way to continue. “Damn! Now what do I do. Which way did ya’ go Cajun?” He thought to himself. He thought for a while and then chose to go right. His gut told him that this was the way the Remy had gone. A short while later his gut proved to be right, when he caught wind of his scent again, and pushed his bike harder.
While on the Blackbird, Scott was maneuvering them closer to their intended target. Tension was running high on the ship. Jean had felt the emotions that Bobby was emitting. She sent him a message telepathically, “Bobby? I know what you are feeling for Remy. We will talk later.” Bobby looked up and nodded at Jean. She smiled and turned her attention back to Scott. She could sense he wasn't all that comfortable either.
Meanwhile, Wolverine had stopped in front of an old run down motel. This is where the trail ended, but why would Remy come here. The building looked as if it had seen better days. Windows broken, paint chipping and weeds everywhere. He entered the front office. The man at the desk took one look at him, and snorted. "Aint got no rooms' left sonny boy. Best yer try up the road about ten miles. They always got space."
"I aint looking for a room... I'm lookin' for a friend of mine." He pulled out a crumpled picture he'd taken off Remy a few months back. "Yer seen 'im?" The man took a look and shook his head. "Can't say I have." Logan handed the man every last dollar he had in his wallet. "Think again old man." Logan was sure Remy was here. The old man thought for a second, before pocketing the cash. "Yeah he was here, left a while ago though. Last cabin on the right… room 249." Logan nodded in thanks and stepped out the office, and headed towards the cabin. “Remy?” Wolverine shouted. Silence was his answer. He walked from door to door and saw the same thing. Room after dilapidated room. “Why would ya’ come here darlin’?” When he got to the last room and opened the door. There was more than just Remy’s scent. He recognized it immediately, “Sabertooth!” Just as he was about to go into the room he heard the familiar sound of the Blackbird. Looking up he saw the plane land and he saw the door slide open. Jean and Scott lead everyone towards Logan and Jean saw the anger in Logan’s eyes. “Logan, we are here to help."
"Yeah, I'm sure you said the same thing out in Antarctica." He was so angry, and unfortunately, jean was the one to get it. "We know that we have not treated Remy very kindly.” Logan snorted. “But, we are here now and we want him home.” Scott stepped forward and looked in the room. “What did you find, Wolverine?” Logan looked at the group gathered in front of him. He thought about telling them to go to hell. But, Remy was more important. He would much rather take on this challenge alone, but, since they were here, he had no choice. Taking a deep breath and pushing his anger back a bit. He spoke, “I followed Remy’s scent here. I don’t know why he came here. But, when I got to this room, I caught a scent other than Remy’s. Sabertooth. I don’t know what’s goin’ on, but if he’s here, Remy’s in trouble." Everyone entered the room and started to search, hoping to find some clue as to why and where Remy was.

Back in the room, Remy was trying to calm himself. He knew that Sinister was near and he was afraid. Just as he was starting to relax himself a bit, a voice came out of the shadows and it froze the blood in his veins. “So my lovely one, you have returned as I said you would. It has been a while. Why have you come now?” Remy lowered his eyes and said nothing. The voice spoke again, “Answer me. Why have you come now? I want to hear the words.” Remy trembled and a tear slid down his cheek. He was scared and humiliated all at once. How had he done this to himself, he thought. But he knew if he didn’t say the words, his punishment at the hands of this fiend would be harsh. Breathing deeply he spoke, “I came cause you de only one who can give me what I deserve.” There he had said it, he didn’t believe it, but he said it. He felt the touch of a cold hand stroke his arm and felt the breath on his face and the presence behind him and he shivered. “There,” the voice said, “that wasn’t so bad now was it my lovely one. You are mine and will always be mine. Logan hurt you and cannot give you what you need.” Remy gasped in surprise. How did he know? The presence behind him moved to stand in front of him, putting a cold metallic finger under Remy’s chin and lifting it up so Remy could look him in the eyes, he spoke menacingly, “Oh my Lovely One, I know everything about you. You didn’t think I would let you go that easy. I know what happened and knew you would come to me.” Sinister moved his face closer so that his eyes showed a burning hatred in them and Remy cringed and tried to move back from him. But Sinister held him tight. He whispered in a finality that made Remy’s heart want to stop, “You are mine and no one else’s.”
