Samuel Heinicke (10. 4. 1727 - 30. 4. 1790)
Inscription: Gründete 1778 in Leipzig die erste Taubstummenschule der Welt die ihre Schüler sprechen lehrte.
(In 1778 he founded the first school for the deaf in Leipzig.)

This is one of my favourites. The first time I saw it I found it by chance. The second time I didn't find it at all despite it's height. Above the door is an inscription: IN MEMORIAM.
The owner died and was buried in the crypt before it was finished. His wife moved him outside and gave the Mausoleum to the city as a gift because it got to expensive for her.
