London:
What s London
for me? Why do I like it? I think it’s the majestetic, aristocratic and
maybe proud-arrogant atmosphere of its people. I like the culture or better
the hundreds of (sometimes free) museums, the different parts of the city
like Notting Hill (I haven’t found the blue door!) and Campden High, the
way the hair look like of the dreaming boys, the doors (by the way I wanted
to make a photo-documentation of all the different doors in the world, but
yeah nice idea which I never realised).I know, now u think and what about
the f**g weather there. I had luck, when I was there (means no rain) but
it s so wonderful melancholic the rain and the clouds that it is not so
bad, just think why Coldplay is from England!!! And by the way, there are
nice parks to sleep outside ah I mean to walk around.-ups. But every stop
has his end so we are in Athens now.
Athens:
Now u think of the greek
history or better of its philosopher Aristotle and Platon and of there good
shaped bodies. I have to disappoint you because Athens socks. There are no
greek good looking gods and the only culture I could find was the antic one.
No, they are just unorganised and the whole time it seems that something is
under construction. We are not 1000 years before Christ, that it should take
so long to renovate the tourist information( almost 1 year is planned, there
was no substitution, and u couldn’t find any information somewhere else!!)
so I m as well wondering if the Olympic Games will take place there. Its
even not half finished the stadium and with them u loose definitely your optimism.
Maybe I just should go back there when the information centre is reopened?
And find out what for nice things u can do there maybe I missed s.th. Apart
from the nice ruins (better: stones which are lying around and which have
sometimes a structure with imagination) I had to escape from its city life
and left after 1, 5 day to the island Peneloppes which is in reality bigger
than the Attica part. U guess it was better there?! The first problem is
to get there. Yes, there are trains but as almost all the signs are in greek
letters, which are very understandable and the Standard English of the people
there is so high, it was a little bit difficult to get there but I finally
made it!! Ok, I was on the beach, which I have to admit, was nice but the
people or better the men were even worse therefore. The more u go into rural,
not that touristy areas, the more oldschool “woman have no rights and have
to be in the kitchen mentality” u will find. So to sum up my stay, I enjoyed
it so much that after 4 days I was so sad to fly to
India.
