| Dear Friends We are deeply saddened to have to tell you that Herb passes away on Monday, September 5 2005 as a result of complications from a variety of medical ailments. Our husband and father had been in failing health for some months. but for his illnesses vailiantly to the end. Happily, he did not suffer as his heart simply gave out early Monday morning. He spock often and always with great love and admiration of his friends and shipmates from the U.S.S. Tabberer, DE 418 and his family and friends from Tennessee.
