U.S. & Canada Data Links * Current 2005-06 data available States with Fur and/or Small Game Harvest Data Online U.S. Trapping Stats 1986 - 2003 Trapping Stats is sponsored by the Animal Protection Institute & contains a search engine for state trapping harvest data from 1986 - 2003. In the search box - select the species, state, and years you would like to see harvest reports. You must choose a species or a state for the search to work. (i.e. You could search AL for the years 1986-2003 and receive results for all species for those years. or You could perform a search for Badger for the years 1986-2003 and the results will include all states.) Dead Wildlife has Fur Harvest Data prior to 1986 U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service* The Federal Government is responsible for migratory bird management. It collects harvest and population data on all hunted migratory birds. Some states' government harvest reports include these birds in their data and one may compare data for the differences in the studies.. U.S. State Links For harvest reports select 'Research & Management' from the tools at the top of the page. Scroll down the screen to 'Publications' (in the left hand column). You will find hunting surveys and deer harvest reports for 2003 - 2006. This link by Alaska Department of Fish & Game Wildlife Conservation takes you directly to the harvest reports. Years for reports vary for different animals, but range from 1996 - 2004. Arizona does not have any reports online. To order the fur and small game data click here. AR has big game and fur data. No small game reports. Just scroll down and select a species. Reports vary in date, but some date back to 1951. CA has big game, upland, and waterfowl data online.. No small game reports. Select the species of interest and you will be linked to all kinds of data. Colorado Small Game * Scroll down for reports dating 2000 - 2005. Big Game * Scroll down to 'harvest survey statistics' 2004-2006 is online. In the search box at the top of the page, type 'harvest reports' and you will then get many results. There are deer and turkey reports dating 1998 - 2004. You may wish to try searching 'hunting season reports' because that is what CT named them after 2003. Scroll down to the most small game, and fur harvest data 1990-2001. FL collects a fur dealer survey and big/small game hunter survey but, you have to know who to contact. No harvest reports online, contact their Department of Land and Natural Resources. Only exotic species are hunted in HI. Idaho * Big, small, and fur reports are available by selecting the animal of interest. Scroll down to Controlled Hunt Info and select 'Controlled Hunt Harvest Information'. Illinois Hunter, Trapper, Waterfowl, Snow Goose Harvest Reports* Deer and turkey harvest reports are available online. Scroll down the page to the 'Wildlife' section. Select 'deer' or 'turkey'. The reports will load on a new page and you select the year you wish to view. Fur and small game must be requested if available. Iowa does big and small game and fur dealer surveys, The Logbook is provided here as a series of PDF files for which you must use Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print. Publication for the previous calendar year usually occurs in early September. "Trends in Iowa Wildlife Populations and Harvest - 2004" was published September of 2005. The 2005 edition of this publication is expected to be completed in September of 2006. KS does a small and big game and fur dealer surveys but not online. Contact Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks. Data here is limited. Select the animal for which you wish to view harvest reports from the list. Then look for 'harvest results' on the page that comes up. Not all animals listed have reports on this site. They do not have data online. They have done big, small, and fur reports in the past. Access to site is sparse due to Katrina. Maine * This site includes their annual reports - all of their data is here. Look for the 2004 or 2005 'Wildlife Div. Research & Mgmt. Report'. Maryland * Harvest data is in their 'Game Program Annual Reports' towards the bottom of the page. Select 'Fisheries & Wildlife' and then 'Hunting and Fishing'. Hunting again. Now select the animal of choice and look for harvest reports. They only have big game press releases select 'Information Central'. They also do trapper reports, but not for small game. Turkey , Deer, scroll down the page. Michigan * All reports are located here for big, small, and fur data. Not all of their reports are done for this year. Furbearer Select an animal and on the next page look for harvest reports. Reports vary and some are not listed. You may obtain reports by adding your e-mail to a mailing list. Section of Publications and Reports. MS does small game and fur sporadically - not online. Contact Mississippi Wildlife Fisheries & Parks. Missouri * MO has data online by species but, they do not have fur data. Select a species for data reports (i.e. Deer, Quail or Dove). This site is inconsistent locating and naming harvest reports for the various animals. It varies so much with the different species we could not include instructions. Hint: Check the pop down menu and links above the pop down menu for reports. MT does a big game bird survey and fur game reports. The bird reports are located hear by selecting a species under 'additional info', and select harvest reports.. NE has fur reports, but their big and small game data are not online. Scroll down for the 'Furbearer Guide' to get to the reports. Now, select 'Surveys' and then scroll down to select 'Fur Harvest Survey'. Select report of interest. In the middle column scroll down to 'hunting information by species'. Select your species and look for harvest reports. There are no small game reports.
