Grillo The Clown is a well-known street performer, fringe artist, and yardman around the state of Kentucky, though he has also performed in Germany, Belgium, and Japan. Though his attire is not what one might expect to fall under the category of "Clown" (he does wear a clown's red nose over his hockey mask sometimes), he makes himself available for rare services, performing dadaist magic tricks, telling jokes with no punchlines, and yodeling in several languages. We at the Deatrick Gallery are proud to be one of the few American art galleries willing to take Grillo as seriously as he takes himself.
