There isn't a day that goes by
That I don't thank God for giving you to me
Anyone can be a father, but only a real man
Can take a child into his heart
And raise her with love,
Not just for today
But for the rest of her life.
In so doing he becomes more
Than her father,
He becomes that little girls' hero...
Dad, your love made me who I am today
I know this to be true because
I am so much like you.
There wasn't a day that went by
when I was growing up
That you didn't make me feel special
You taught me that there wasn't anything
I couldn't do ~
No dream was too large
or unworthy of my attempts.
I loved you so much for that.
When I was happy,
I couldn't wait to run into your arms
To share my happiness with you.
Now that I'm a grown woman,
I try to remember all those special words
That you spoke ~
The ones that seem like magic
To a little girl's ear ~
So that I may speak those loving
words to my child.
I can only pray
That I can be half the parent
you are to me.
In my eyes you are still my hero.
you are my friend.
You are my angel here on earth.
I can never tell you enough times
How much I Love You.
