Comments: I am doing a research project relating sociological theories to group formation and support during a time of war. When looking for supporting information on yellow ribbons as a symbol of congregation I came accross your poem. I just want to say it was beautiful and exactly the kind of text I want to quote in my paper. You expressed wonderfully what so many thought, and now do again with the current war. I have a brother in the Marines, and this is surley what I feel for him and all his fellow Marines.

Comments: As I read your writing, I was saddened by it. But also sadden, because it hurt you so deeply not to "SEE" that your friend needed help or you. But do try to heal now. For it is time to allow the healing to begin. We can not always "SEE" that we are needed, so allow yourself to heal.

Comments: Greetings from a Brit living in California. I've just been learning about St. Francis, and want to follow this wonderful man who encompasses all my dearest feelings about animals, Mother Nature and peace. In these imponderable times, it is timely that he appeared to me. I'd love to talk to more people who follow him. Love, Mary
