| Amy thought it was so cool when Uncle Bob collected a whole bunch of rattlesnakes and put them in a big Rubbermaid bin in Steven's room. It didn't bother Steven at all, since Uncle Bob said it was okay. No big deal! Joe came home late that night, unaware of the bin. He accidentally kicked it coming into the room in the dark and nearly fell over when the whole bin started rattling! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| "The best thing about Bob - no matter what, you know where you stand with him. He always treated us with so much love and caring, no matter what. If you're not sincere, he couldn't be bothered and he didn't let it get to him either. You could see his heart in his eyes. They just lit up when playing with Tyler or the other kids, or just hanging out, joking around. The kids loved learning about all the critters! Amy really likes Poochie the best. I'll never forget all those crazy swans in the bathtub during the hurricane! Everything I read about says to do what inspires you to get up and be excited about what you do. Bob's stories were always entertaining and he really lived his passion. Bob was there for me when Carl went to New York - the landlord came to my house, telling me he was going to sell it and I had 30 days to move out. I closed the door and threw a stack of newspapers and knocked over a folding chair - nothing to do any real damage, just completely frustrated! Bob just said, in his calm way, "Hey...hey...it's going to be okay." And you know what? He was right.
