Did you know?Most people often confuse Guyana with Ghana. Unfortunately they are two different countries in two different continents. Without any offense intended, I'm introducing Guyana where Caribbean meets South America then followed by Ghana in West Africa.
 Guyana, in full, co-operative Republic of Guyana, republic on the northern coast of South America. It is bounded on the north by the Atlantic Ocean, on the east by Suriname, on the south by Brazil, and on the west by Brazil and Venezuela. Guyana has an area of 214,969 sq km (83,000 sq mi), and its coastline is 459 km (285 mi) long. Formerly a British colony known as British Guiana, Guyana is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, an association of nations that once formed the British Empire. Georgetown is its capital. 
 Ghana, nation in West Africa, a former British colony known as the Gold Coast until 1957, when it became the first state in sub-Saharan Africa to gain political independence from European colonial rule. This densely populated, lowland country has a prosperous economy noted for its gold mining and its production of cacao, which is used to make cocoa and chocolate. Following its independence, Ghana assumed the leadership role in the African continent’s struggle for national liberation. A series of military coups and severe economic problems plagued Ghana from the late 1960s into the 1980s. However, Ghana reemerged in the 1990s as a democracy and a leading player in African affairs. The capital city of Accra is the largest city in the country. Most people always mistake Martin Luther for Martin Luther King Jr.  Martin Luther (1483-1546), German theologian and religious reformer Martin Luther precipitated the Protestant Reformation with his publication in 1517 of his Ninety-Five Theses, which detailed the indulgences and excesses of the Roman Catholic church. Luther felt that the essence of Christianity lay not in an elaborate organization headed by the pope, but in each person’s direct communication with God. Luther’s protest set off a flood of departures from the Roman Catholic church and set the stage for further Protestant movements, including Calvinism and Presbyterianism.  King, Martin Luther, Jr. (1929-1968), American clergyman and Nobel Prize winner, one of the principal leaders of the American civil rights movement and a prominent advocate of nonviolent protest. King’s challenges to segregation and racial discrimination in the 1950s and 1960s helped convince many white Americans to support the cause of civil rights in the United States.
