Ike was the first Tibetan Spaniel to come to DelMar. He was almost two years old when he was rescued from a home where he was neglected and joined us to be Leigh-Ann's step up from 4-H into the "real world" of AKC conformation shows.
After a few short months of training, he stepped into the ring Labor Day weekend and finished his championship a few shows later on December 6th of that same year. He is now a Therapy Dog and the best buddy of Karen Williams.
Ike set the example for his son, Howie, who was a Champion and multiple Group Placing dog before his first birthday, and is now following in Daddy Ike's pawprints as a Therapy dog. |
