firm. My responsibilities primarily
dealt with incorporating third party vendor software to replace outmoded
modules contained on legacy systems. My
activities ranged from: project scope development, design, project planning,
budgeting, through implementation and coordination of training efforts for
an on time, on-budget deployment. Handled both complex business analysis and
technical issues through resolution. Provided
technical direction throughout the entire project life-cycle including
vendor search and selection. Managed both in-house technical resources and
outside implementation teams when needed.

conducted project kick offs and regular status meetings. Handled multiple

Trim replenishment system
trading bi-directional information from PICK based legacy RS/6000 and RPG
based AS400 vendor software. Implemented multi-phased JD
Edwards OneWorld XE on SQL platform to replace existing General Ledger and Accounts Payable systems
enabling the
generation of consolidated financials between parent company and multi
national/multi currency acquisitions. This
involved multiple legacy systems. Coordinated business and technical
efforts on both Legacy and Vendor supported software packages.
Performed hands-on conversions and data mergers resulting from
company acquisitions. These
conversions included complex merging of three stand-alone E3 Trim
replenishment systems. Was responsible for Vendor relations. Created
consolidated Data Warehouse.
Performed technical project management as part of a team on both SPS commerce B2B e-commerce project,
and inventory management relating to conversion of realigning 50+ nationwide
warehouses into a two tiered National Distribution System.
Various
consulting projects which included Y2K assessment and replacement of existing
system for multi-million Equestrian distribution firm.
Acted as Project Manager performing full project life cycle.
This project included distribution, financial, garment manufacturing,
retail/wholesale and catalogue sales efforts. Project was completed within ten
months from inception. Prepared
technical efforts for company relocation. Other efforts included Database design
and deployment within a third party medical billing firm.
For the travel division of
a major trade publisher provide
worldwide ongoing support and development of PICK based back office financial
systems running under a UNIX environment on a RS/6000.
Acted as business and technical person responsible for conversion of the
divisional open account receivables and their continuing daily interface to the
parent company residing in Newton Massachusetts .
Supervise two consultants in major projects including system upgrades and
Y2K remediation. Acting as Unix system administrator. Cross platform interfaces with other divisions as well as
desktop and web applications in-house. Some
use of visual basic and Visual Interdev.
Working independently or with groups in performing full cycle data processing consulting services. Needs assessment for both Hardware/Software complete systems analysis, design, programming, and implementation on various hardware platforms including PC, midrange, and client server environments. performed programming on Honeywell, DEC and Ultimate machines in a PICK
operating system environment
using Basic programming. Responsible
for customization and demonstration of a distribution software package. Support and maintenance of a rapidly growing client base in
the distribution industry. Use of 4th
GL language for major customization of an
encumbrance payable system for Municipal Authorities.

For this major software and services firm was
responsible for providing technical support for client software via telephone
and site visits. Utilize Basic in a PICK
operating system environment on Microdata and Mentor hardware. Designed and implemented customized software to meet client
and internal needs.
For Retail Banking operating in an IBM 4341 environment running under DOS/VSE was responsible for approving production software. Developed standards for Quality Assurance testing, instructed junior associates in methods and procedures of Q/A. Other duties included maintaining existing retail banking system developed in COBOL accessing VSAM files.
