INGUINAL HERNIA REPAIR WITHOUT MESH

Are you contemplating inguinal hernia repair but have concerns about complications from a mesh based hernia surgery ?”

THERE IS A NEW METHOD OF INGUINAL HERNIA OPERATION THAT DOES NOT USE MESH

(See the actual repair operation performed on direct, indirect & recurrent inguinal hernias on CD for only $20 including postage.)

Email: desarda@gmail.com  or desarda@hotmail.com

IT IS NORMALLY POSSIBLE TO GO HOME IN A DAY, DRIVE YOUR CAR & BE BACK AT WORK THE NEXT 2-3 DAYS

Your mesh-free inguinal hernia surgery is carried out in a large multidisciplinary hospital in the city of  Pune, in India, by a team of highly experienced surgeons led personally by Prof. M.P Desarda, the inventor of the mesh free inguinal hernia repair technique. Pune is a large modern city with all amenities, the same as you find in any western city, and is only 100 miles (160km) from Mumbai (Bombay). Our operating theatres are set up to the best international standards.

What are the plus points of this new hernia surgery

The Desarda repair is a simple herniorrhaphy (hernia repair) done under local anaesthetic without mesh, with a one night stay in hospital, minimal post operative pain, and a quick recovery that allows you to drive your car on the second day, and be back at work in 1-2 weeks. There is virtually a zero recurrence rate without any intra-operative or post-operative early or late complications. Laparoscopy is neither used nor required in this procedure.

The Desarda procedure uses live muscle tissue adjacent to the hernia site to repair and reinforce the weakened area. This new technique was demonstrated at major international Hernia Conference to many surgeons from Germany, Poland, Cuba, Sri Lanka etc.

Patients from abroad usually prefer to stay for a week, although local patients are discharged the next day. The total cost of the procedure is approximately US $1500-2000 for a stay of 2 nights.  The price variation is dependant on the level of the accommodation chosen (private room or large private room). Go to the Location & Admission page for details of charges & how to reach to us.

We extend our full support to you for your planning and hospital admission, including reserving your room, booking the operating theatre etc. as soon as you confirm your date of arrival to us.

WHY WE DO NOT USE MESH IN OUR INGUINAL HERNIA REPAIR

Mesh is a foreign body. Its use in hernia repairs is well documented, and it is known to cause many types of complications such as chronic pain, infection, rejection, migration etc. Many patients have filed adverse event reports with the FDA in the USA. This is an ongoing saga that has already resulted in a major FDA recall of certain mesh products. http://www.fda.gov/cdrh/recalls/recall-122205.html

Medical research articles on complications following the use of mesh in hernia repairs can easily be Googled on the internet, using search terms such as mesh infection, mesh complications, mesh migration etc. See this article for an overview:   http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/full/10.1111/j.1469-0691.2004.01014.x

Extensive forum information on mesh complications can be found here: http://ehealthforum.com/health/topic112856.html   or http://www.topix.com/forum/city/fort-worth-tx/TE4DF83JKBNACOFNO
