A MESSAGE FROM…

OUR WORSHIPFUL MASTER…

Happy Valentines Day!!!!!

It has been a pleasure to involve myself into the workings of this lodge and I am very excited to see the number of brothers who attended our first stated meeting in 2006.  Let’s keep this trend up.  Bring your wife and a dish of your favorite food to the fellowship prior to the stated meeting.  We try to eat around 6:30 PM.

I would like to remind everyone of the up coming Valentines Dinner.  The date is February 11, 2006.  Entertainment will begin at 6:00 PM with a group, Cedar Creek lead by Brother Wendell Lee.  I hope everyone will enjoy their selection of music for our listening pleasure.  Dinner will be served at 7:00 PM.  Following dinner we will play bingo for Valentine candy.  If you plan to attend please call our Lodge Secretary Elbert Martz, PM.  I look forward to seeing and visiting with each of you.

I would like to see more Brothers at the Craftsman Club on Tuesday Night.  We meet at 7:00 PM at the Lodge office.  I can tell you from personal experience that you can learn a lot from your fellow Masons.  We all can learn and practice what the Masonic Tradition is all about.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the stated meetings and Craftsman Club

Fraternally,

Your Worshipful Master,

Jim Pickens, WM

From the Secretary’s Desk

I want to thank the brothers whom have paid their Lodge dues for 2006.  If you do not have a 2006 dues card please mail your dues.

I also want to thank all the brothers who have donated to the H. C. “Pappy” Warner Memorial Fund. It really shows that we have brothers who care about other brothers.

Don’t forget to call and make reservations for the Valentine’s Dinner on February 11th.  Live entertainment, dinner and bingo for prizes.  Call to make reservations at 837-4579 or 849-0218.

Sick and Visitation

Bro. Richard Martz, P.M. is in Baptist Hospital with pneumonia and lung cancer, his wife Mary Lou, is home recuperating from a heart procedure. Bro. Bob Clement, P.M. is in a nursing home. Bro James Donald West is ill.

Please keep these brothers and their families in your prayers.  We know there are others that are ill and we do not know about.  If you know about a Brother or a family member that is sick please contact us.

If you know of anyone sick, please contact our Chaplin, Bro. B. W. Malone, P.M. at 358-3789.

Craftsman Club

Our Craftsman Club meets every Tuesday Night at 7:00 P.M.  More participation of more Brothers is wanted.  When we have degrees, you too, can have a more active part.  Certainly, you can sit on the side and observe.  By just attending a degree, the candidate or brother receiving the degree might know you care enough to support him.

Winners of Drawings

Bro. Swayne Merrell’s name was drawn for the $100.00 monthly prize. Bro. Merrell was present to receive the money.  Bro. B. W. Malone won the $50.00 gift certificate to Wal-Mart.  Bros. Bill Brooks and Jesse Egbert won the consolation prizes.  Beginning next month, if the person whose name

is drawn for the cash prize is not present the $50.00 will be deposited into the H. C. “Pappy” Warner Fund.
