Television cont... South Park Chef Aid - Behind The Menu, (episode #2.214 10/14/98) Comedy Central John narrates this mockumentary of the Chef Aid Concert. The show consists of interviews with Ozzy Osbourne, Flea, Joe Strummer, Elton John etc. but you don't actually see John, he speaks between the interview segments. Judge Judy November 24 1997 Robert Williams vs John Lydon. This hilarious court room affair came about when the planned '97 solo tour to promote Johns 'Psychos Path' album fell apart because Robert Williams (former Captain Beefheart drummer) felt unappreciated basically. He wanted his own room on tour, he claims John head butted him and used his drum kit on the tour after he had left. So he was claiming unfair dismissal and assault, both of which Judge Judy dismissed and ruled in Johns favour. Although in court John can't seem to dull down his contempt for Williams, who comes across as a tad bit whiney and feeble. Williams released a solo CD with an attempt to insult, track called 'John Liar' featuring an impersonation of Lydon. Jack ass. Sorry - Flip Skateboarding Video 2002 Flip Skateboards have released a video with narration by John. Adverts... LA Eyeworks I'm not to sure on this one, I read in an interview (BAM Magazine June 16th - 1989) that an LA Eyeworks (sunglasses) ad was coming out featuring John but don't know any more than that. Schiltz Beer John appeared in various magazines in 1992 with the phrase 'If anyone knows how to put away Schlitz I do!' Mountain Dew He recorded a song for a 1996 US television commercial, a cover of 'Route 66'. Talkies... An Interview With Kris Needs LIP SERVICE/FLICKKNIFE LSM01, 1986 An interview LP from around the time of promoting 'Album'. A good interview with John who's in an easy going mood. Sex Pistols - Fully Illustrated Book & Interview Disc SOUND AND MEDIA SAM7033, 1997 This interview is from '94 when John was promoting his autobiography. It's in CD/book format, the book is focused on the Pistols mostly, right up to the '96 reunion tour. Not fantastic but has some quality pix. Recent; Billion Dollar Baby, The Alice Cooper Story; BBC2 Radio, November 2 - 2002 John hosted this hour long rockumentary on the career of Alice Cooper, it's mostly Mr Cooper reliving some of his times in the business & is a great insight into his past. John adds his comments in, both scripted & personel - mentioning his favourite tracks and albums. John was the perfect presenter for this show as he's always been a big Alice Cooper fan. I have transcribed TV appearences to add to the interviews/articles section, as well as loads of magazine and newspaper articles...when I can be arsed, cheers |
