| Live In Tokyo recorded over two days (1st and 2nd) in July 1983 at Nakano Sun Plaza. PiL were offered some cash to let their gig be recorded on a Mitisubishi X-800 PGM 32ch tape recorder, a state of the art at the time recording unit, and released. Possibly the first digitally recorded live gig. John had said at the time of the albums release 'not to buy it' because he doesn't like live albums. The sound quality is brilliant and the audience is receptive. |
