I feel it is very important that people know of life ways without the system of capital such as band hunter-gatherers. I also see the struggle against the state and capital and the social relations which produce and reproduce them which is class struggle as necessary. As I see it, the system of capital functions through social relationships that are arranged in gernal around the production of surplus which is extracted from the peoples labor power to the benifit of a minority. Such a system created and continues to develope large scale agriculture, the state, cities, capitalist technology and class rule; the basis of civilization that emerged 7,000 years ago in the Near East 1.-which always exploits even thise who do not live according to such lifeways. This differs from my definition of modern capitalism, which I come to see as a system in which people cannot sustain themselves on their own and must sell themselves to bosses which in turn take the surplus (goods) produced by the workers and sell the surplus value for profit. (the staple of modern capitalism is surplus value) I see modern capitalism as a way to enhance the relationships of domination that were already existent within civilization and thus the system of capital. Thus for me the class struggle, which is the struggle against the state and the system of capital- in which civilization was created to serve- is therefore the struggle against civilization. I believe the system which imposes and enforces such social relations which channel our energy into continuing its existence will never disappear on its own so I embrace insurrection. I recognize band hunter-gatherer life ways cannot exist for the majority of people on the planet in our current situation, so I believe groups of individuals coming together due to their common interests to create their lives as they see fit through the equality of access to all is the best actions for one to realize their dsires. Politics no matter how radical, necessarily reproduces the system of capital in various ways by always maintaining specialization and/or alienation through infiltrating social relationships based on the creation of each own's desire to relatioships which are channeled to the reproduction of the political systems- thus I am anti-politics. All that is written in this zine by myself is not intended to be the last word on the subject.-RM 1. Civilization as I see it first emerged as Mesopotamia in the Near East in 5,000 B.C. My definition of civilization is a society made of the system of capital, agriculutre, the state and the city |
