| Billys wsa a tacky soul club in the basement of 69 Dean Street in Soho, orientated towards black tourists who occasionally managed to find their way down into its murky depths. When Steve Strange and Rusty Egan approached the owner offering to fill the club once a week with their friends he happily agreed to a trial run.
