FRUIT SALAD DRESSING


1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 egg
1 Tbsp. flour
2 tsp. butter

Put water, sugar and butter in a small pan to boil. Dissolve the flour in 2 tablespoons water; add to the unbeaten egg and beat smooth with eggbeater. Add boiling syrup and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and thick. Cool. Add a little cream, about one quarter cup, when ready to mix with the fruit salad. Serve whipped cream on top of the salad.
