ICING-FRUIT FILLING (Japanese Fruit Cake)
1 large can crushed pineapple, undrained
2 oranges, cut up fine
2 lemons grated
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup cherries
1 cup chopped nuts
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 fresh coconut or 1 pkg. frozen
1 1/2 cups sugar
Cook together until thick. Spread between layers and on top and sides of hot cake.
