POUND CAKE 4
5 eggs
1/2 cup, Crisco
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. baking powder
1 stick margarine
1 3/4 cups sugar
2 Tbsp milk
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1/2 tsp. salt
Cream Crisco, margarine and sugar until creamy. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add eggs, one at a time, to creamed mixture. Add flour and milk alternately, then flavorings. Pour into a well greased and floured tube cake pan. Bake at 300* for 1 hour.
ICING:
1/3 stick margarine
1 box confectioners sugar
juice of 1 lemon
canned milk (enough to become smooth)
Blend margarine, confectioners sugar, lemon juice and canned milk. Drizzle over hot cake.
