MILKY WAY CAKE
4 large Milky Way bars
1 stick margarine
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup buttermilk
2 1/2 cups cake flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
Melt candy bars and margarine in double boiler and set aside to cool. Combine sugar, oil, eggs and milk. Stir well. Sift together flour,soda and salt; add to milk mixture. Add nuts and vanilla, then add alternately to cool candy mixture. Bake in 4 layers or oblong pan about 25 minutes at 350*; approx. 45 minutes for oblong pan.
Milky Way Cake Topping:
2 large Milky Way bars
1 stick margarine
2 Tbsp. milk
1/2 box, powdered sugar
Melt candy and margarine in double boiler and let cool until you can hold hand on bottom of pan. Add milk and sugar. Mix well and pour over cake.
