Peter Paul Mound CAKE


1 cup Crisco
2 cups sugar
5 eggs (one at a time)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream Crisco, sugar and eggs. Add and sift together flour and add alternately with flour, milk and vanilla. Do not mix more than 5 minutes. Bake at 350* in 3 greased and floured 9 inch cake pans.

FILLING:

1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
12 large marshmallows
3 (6 oz.)pkg.frozen coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil sugar and milk 5 minutes. Add marshmallows, coconut and vanilla; spread between layers.

FROSTING:

1 1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 Tbsp. Karo syrup
2/3 cup milk
1 stick margarine
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook until soft ball stage. Cool. Beat until thick, then cover cake on top and sides.
