SUGAR COOKIES 2

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
2 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla and dry ingredients; mix well. Chill. Form into balls. Roll in sugar. Sprinkle lightly with a few drops of water. Bake at 325* on ungreased cookie sheet until golden brown.
