Swiss Potato Soup

4 medium potatoes, diced.
1 medium onion, chopped.
1/4 lb. Swiss cheese, diced.
1/4 lb. bacon, cut up.
4 Tbsp. flour.
salt & pepper to taste.

Boil potatoes in about 1 1/2 quarts water with onion, salt & pepper & boil until potatoes are tender. Drain. Save the water. Mash potatoes medium fine (not with electric mixer). Return water to potatoes and sit on low heat. Fry bacon crisp. Add bacon to potatoes (not grease). Brown flour in grease and add to potatoes carefully; bring to a boil. Add cheese; stir until melted. Will be thick soup.
