I want you, in your mind's eye, to imagine the details that you take to get to sleep, such as getting undressed and dressed for bed (if you do that), pulling on your covers, getting warm, and, being really tired, letting yourself drift into a deep sleep.

I want you, in your mind's eye, to imagine yourself, for this brief period, finding that you can only hear my voice, and subsequently, you do not hear the thoughts about work, or any of your responsibilities from life.  For this period, since you are worth it, you're going to clear your mind and totally relax, as rapidly as you can, as deeply as you can, as completely as you can.

I want you to learn to trigger a very deep sleep.  <pause 5 seconds>

You will now set a word to trigger this process to automatically happen for you when you have time to use it.

That word is "soma." <pause 5 seconds>

Whenever you have time for a little sleep, you will take a deep breath and exhale, then take a couple normal breaths, and after taking a second deep breath, when you exhale, you will say this word, "soma," and it will trigger this rapid sleep process, exactly as you remember it, exactly as you have now programmed it, exactly as you escaped reality so you get much needed rest and more. <pause 5 seconds>

I want you to rest deeply, and to allow this rest to feel like hours of sleep. <pause 5 seconds>

Take a deep breath and exhale. <pause 5 seconds>

Relax, sleeping deeply in your perfect bed in your imagination. <pause 5 seconds>

Relax, letting all your muscles rest as best as possible, but support you as needed. <pause 5 seconds>

Deeply relax. <pause 5 seconds>
