My biggest currently constructed model! This is actually the second Republic Cruiser I've built- the first was destoryed when it was accidently knocked off the top of the tv. I tried to put more detail into this one, giving it actual interior features. I'm not entirely finished building or photographing it yet, so keep watching this page.
I built my new republic cruiser in three sections, which are connected by some Technic pins. The first section consists of the cockpit, an escape pod, and a hallway. Minifigs can enter the cockpit by climbing up a ladder in the hallway. They enter the escape pod by opening a door in the floor of the cockpit, climbing down, and folding in the sides. The pod hold three basic mini'figs, but large hats may need to be left behind. It's a neat little feature that I will try to photograph soon.
The second section has a low table and two yellow couches. The third section has a hallway functioning as a small escape pod hangar, holding two 2-person escape pods that can be launched out the side of the ship. Each pod has a hinged door on top for climbing in. The engines are also part of the third section, and are still under construction. I am planning to use the large circular lid/wheel that comes with the RoboRiders as the engines, but so far I only have one of this piece in red. (You can see part of the left engine in the top picture)
The Jedi knight in the picture below gives some indication of size.
