Community-based Medical Service Regardless of Social, Economic, or Religious Status

Established by the Episcopal Church in Egypt in 1910, Harpur Memorial Hospital serves the community by providing a good standard of medical care at a low cost for those who can afford it, and free for the poor. In addition to general medical and surgical services, the hospital runs a number of specialty clinics, including:   *  Eye Clinic, which performs surgery for cataracts and is working on a pilot program to control trachoma.    * Leprosy Clinic, supervised by Dr. Hany Abadir.
