Stardate: 60298.1455
Setting: USS ANUBIS: Array Section, Deck A-4, IGC

The young woman kept a close watch on the work being done by the CSciO and Ops officer on the bridge of the ANUBIS, the efforts of the CEO and his staff down in Main Engineering *and* the developing situation around TOLAR IV thanks to the multitude of screens and surveillance equipment present in the IGC.

When not thinking about the dangers that they would be faced with in the carrying out of Maya's plan or the life and death struggle that her life mate and her bodyguard were likely in the middle of, the redheaded woman could actually find a sliver of enjoyment in her being in charge of this little gem of a department. Of course that fleeting moment would be short lived… but nice to have nonetheless.

"Both of the Ferengi High-Marauder heavy cruisers have left the system and are now out of our sensor range." A member of Enaii's elite team reported, his task having been to keep track of those specific vessels since the moment they had noticed them.

"'Good… that will be 2 less potential headaches for us to worry about. Keep a general eye out for them in case they decide to come back and help with the monitoring of the Hirogen tracker." The ExO ordered, having already learned that it had not been a wise move to not give these people something to do, even if there wasn't anything for them to officially do… not that this was the case at the moment. With the plan to sneak up on the Breen frigate, the Hirogen Tracker still perusing the ever so elusive Orion scout ship and the Cardassian Galor-Class destroyer in high orbit over TOLAR IV, the IGC was by no means short on things to do.

"The Orion scout ship has taken a direct hit to its propulsion system… their speed and maneuverability has been greatly reduced. If the Hirogens continue pursuit at the rate they have been going at, the Orion ship should either be destroyed or rendered completely inoperative in less than a minute." Another member of the IGC team reported, adding a new problem to the ever changing list. As long as the Hirogens had been occupied by the Orions, thanks to the little diversion created by David, the hunters did not pose a problem to the ANUBIS or anyone else, but now that their prey had been conquered, it would be only a matter of time before the Venatic-Class tracker made itself to be a problem… either to the ANUBIS by wanting to engage what it believed to be a Breen Battleship or by heading straight to the planet and give Enaii, Nikita and 2nd Lt. Pravat more than their fair share of trouble.

"Don't take your eyes off that ship… and try to get a lock on our people on the planet. If things should turn ugly, we might have to swoop in and proceed with an emergency beam out of everyone on the planet, and I am sure that Capt. Simmons would not be at all happy if we brought back a Cardassian, a Hirogen or whatever else might be down there along with our people." The ExO ordered even though she knew that the request would not be entirely possible given their distance between the ANUBIS and the planet as well as the amount of snow and ice that the ILO and Marines had been beneath of.

"The Hirogen tracker has scored another direct hit… and they are resuming their course towards TOLAR IV. The Orion scout ship is now adrift and appears to be barely able to maintain life support. I doubt that they will be able to make the necessary repairs in time." The same ICG officer reported, painting a rather bleak picture of the Orion ship and the fate that awaited it… the problem was that the ANUBIS and its crew were in no position to render assistance, not that the ExO suspected that James would have been in any sort of willingness to offer it at this time. The Orions had rushed here for the same reason as had everyone else, and unfortunately their quest for the Mind Stone would have a most unhappy ending, one that the redheaded woman figured the CO had no wish to share in.

"Commander… my console just went dead." One of the officers manning a secondary surveillance stations reported.

"Commander… same here, my station is no longer operational." Another echoed.

It took only a few seconds for someone else to report on the cause of these malfunctions, but for the young woman that time had seemed like an eternity.

"I have traced the problem back to main engineering… primary power grip… control junction 7-2-9. It appears that Lt. Dawson has begun rerouting power to the ablative armour… I am detecting similar equipment failures throughout the vessel."

Knowing better than to contact David to complain about the timing of these malfunctions, especially in a tense moment such as this, the ExO simply motioned for her people to calm down… hopefully everything would return to normal in a few moments… that or they would all be dead… either way, they wouldn't have to worry about it for that much longer.
