Loki was furious. "You imbicil!" He hissed at Xan over
the screen. His underling's image was staticy, but
from what Loki could tell, Xan had suffered a few
injuries. "You let Starfleet get away with the
source?"
"I didn't realize she was Starfleet!" Xan protested.
"I didn't put two and two togther until after they
left. They're still around here somewhere."
"Damn you. You just cost me big, you know that?" He
yelled, enraged. Abruptly, his demenor turned much
cooler. "Make yourself scarce Xan. If I ever see you
again, I will kill you myself." With that, he cut off
the communications. He stared at the blank screen
angrily for a minute, figuring out his next plan of
attack. He had lost the opportunity to bring Summers
and the source together, and use her skills to
inturpuret the source, thus allowing him to work the
stone.
The stone. It was no longer safe here. And he wasn't
quite sure that it would be safe with him either. He
pondered his options. At long last, he came to a
conclusion. "Yes... it is the only way."
Up until now, he had losely used his cover story. It
was time to resume his original identity. It was time
to once again become Luke Onison. It was the only way
to get access to the source. He rubbed his face,
thinking. "I'll bring the girl back to Starfleet.
They'll accept me, at least long enough for me to
discover what is in the source. And then, I will hold
the power." His face contored into a grin.
His reflection grinned back at him as Loki. Slowly and
sutblely, his grin changed into a more pleasent smile,
and his eyes became more commpassionate. A minute
later, Luke Onison smiled back at him, ready as ever
to decive.

Xan looked stricken with Loki's reaction. He had never
performed more incompitantly. He needed to escape. He
know Starfleet was nearby, and the whole situation had
quickly unraveled with the arrival of the many other
parties. He had barely managed to escape the
Cardassians when Enaii and her bodyguard had abandoned
him. And now, he was not sure if he was going to
escape at all. He started up his engines, and prepared
to run.

Setting: USS ANUBIS, Bridge

"The armor is designed to deflect the majority of
incoming fire away from the sensitive areas making
disabling the ship very difficult but if we can manage
to get the ship in this exact position we should be
able to bypass the plating and knock out their primary
power source." Rawyvin explained.
"Always wanted to see if this class of ships could
pull something like this." Tam chuckled.
Serenna looked up from her consul. "I better speak to
David and see if he can divert a little more power to
the inertial dampeners before we get started, I just
hope that Capt. Simmons has had the chance to speak to
him about the time frame we are going to be working
with."
(My stuff)
Rawyvin nodded. "Alright. Now, once we knock out their
primary power, we'll have to take out their..." A
beeping on his screen inturrupted him. He looked down,
studying the display. His face fell. "Uh oh..." He
turned to Serenna to report, but as he was getting
ready to speak, he saw her facial expression.
Apparently, the report had been sent to her as well.
He shrugged, reporting anyway. "I guess the situation
on Tolar is getting a little too hot for him, huh?"
Tam grinned at Rawyvin's little joke, but Serenna kept
a straight face. "We cannot let him escape."
Seth raised his hand. "Just curious- how do you intend
to pull off our little plan and stop him at the same
time?"
Serenna glared at him before tapping her badge.
"Bridge to ICG..."

Setting: Unknown Planet, Shuttle Bay, inside unknown ship
(Tiffany's stuff, altered)
Luke came in to see Lea reaching for the self destruct
control "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Luke almost
screamed/whispered, paniced, causing Lea to jump and
retract her arm.
"I was just trying to read these strange markings,"
Lea replied in a guilty tone.
"Reading is done using your eyes," Luke said, calming
down a little, sliding into the pilot's seat of the shuttle. "What you were trying to do was something entirely different."
(My stuff)
She sat back, embarressed, quietly observing Luke work
the controls of the ship. After a few moments, she
obeserved outloud "You seem to know your way around
with the ship..." Her tone was slow, and carried a
trace of suspision.
Luke turned to her, raising his eyebrow. "Well, I hope
I do... if not, we're not getting too far," he smiled.
This time, it didn't seem to work with her. His
strange behavior had finally managed to make her
wonder. "How do you know what you're doing?"
Luke looked surpirsed, and then looked away, turning
red. "I... wasn't totally honest with you back in the
cell." Summers stared at him, awaiting his
explination. He sighed heavily. "I probably should
have told you... I mean, you are in Intel and all, but
I was just kinda hesitant..."
she raised her eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
He looked at her, embarressed. "I actually worked a
little bit of Intel. When I was captured, my ship was
trailing a suspected terrorist cell. They kept me
alive all these years because they thought evenutally
I'd break." He chuckled. "Funny enough, they stuck me
down here, and forgot all about me, and I've been
rotting here ever since."
She looked taken aback. "Oh... but... that doesn't
explain..."
"This is all written in a made up language," he said,
indicating the controls. "I studied this group as part
of my assignment. I learned all about them and how
they work. I know a lot about these guys, and learned
a lot that is probably not even on file because of my
capture."
"Made up language?" Lea asked, now feeling guilty for
her suspisions.
"yeah. Kinda like Esperanto, only this is based on far
more languages than just Terran, and it has it's own
script." He hung his head. "I'm sorry for not telling
you sooner."
"No, no..." she said quickly. "I'm sorry. It's just...
so much of this escape seemed so... easy, and
everything has been so hard... and..." She began to
become emotional, without even knowing why.
Luke got up from his chair. "Whoa, it's ok. No harm no
foul..." he crouched down next to her, placing his
hands on hers.
She shook her head, trying to laugh it off. "You must
think I'm silly."
"Not at all," Luke insisted. "Hey, we're almost out of
here. It's alright. You can trust me."
She smiled at him, and then surprised the both of
them- she hugged him. Luke froze in awkwardness for a
second, and then put his arms around her, returning
the hug. They didn't move or say anything for a
minute, and then finally, Lea pulled away, bright red.
Luke simply smiled, somewhat embarressed himself.
"Yeah... uh... well, anyway, you should brace yourself
for the trip."
She cleared her throat. "Why is that?"
He returned to his seat, once again working at the
controls. "Cause I have a very funny feeling that our
luck is about to run out."
