Stardate: 60298.1600
Setting: USS ANUBIS: Transporter Room 3

As the CEO entered the transporter room, there were two marines, two security officers and the Security chief who nodded at him upon arrival. They were gathered around the transporter console as the marine voiced his concern.

"But sir... this would be the best spot for us to beam in. Aft of their warp core."

The transporter chief disagreed. "The Captain and COO already sent me the coordinates."

David peerewd over the transporter chief's shoulder looking at the skematics of the Jem'Hadar ship... and he didn't like what he saw. He had seen skems of a Jem'Hadar frigate from the Dominion war in his studies... and where they were beaming into was going to be hell. David moved in closer and entered some commands into the transporter.

"Chief... send us *here*" the CEO stressed as Rawyvin interjected.

"Just a second, that doesn't comply with what Captain Simmons and Lieutenant Serrena agreed to."

"OK... first and foremost, we don't know how many Jem'Hadars are stationed in engineering. And I sure as hell don't want to go in getting my ass shot off."

The SEC/TAC stared at him for a moment. Brushing his hair to one side, he cleared his throat. "A word, Lieutenant" Rawyvin said nodding to the doors of the transporter room, a hint of annoyance in his voice and after they stepped outside, the CSecO voiced his disconcern.

"David... I didn't want to say anything in there, but *I'm* leading this away team," Rawyvin said slowly, trying to speak evenly. "I don't want to step on your toes about the rank..."

David glared at him. "Then lead... but *I'm* giving us a better chance of survival after we get there..." and he grinned wickedly, "but its *your* funeral."

The Engineer spun on his heals and reentered the transporter room. Rawyvin followed him, still annoyed with the man, but mollified. They stepped onto the transporter padd and everyone checked their phasers and phaser rifles.

"Set phasers to maximum stun.." and as the security chief looked at the CEO, he smiled, showing David his fangs. "My mistake. Kill," he said pointedly towards the other man, almost as if David where a Jem'Hadar himself.

"Are we sure we want to kill them?" a security officer asked, "a maximum stun setting should do the trick."

David shook his head. He knew that despite Rawyvin's annoyance with him, the SEC officer was right. "Maximum stun is only going to piss them off." They all formed a circle as they were beamed in.

"Transporter room 3 to the bridge, the away team is ready sir." Rawyvin said after tapping his badge.

=/\=Acknowledged=/\= came the voice of Captain Simmons, =/\=good hunting...and Mr. Dawson?=/\=

"Yes sir?" David replied.

=/\=Your priority is to disable that ship. Weapons, warp core are top of your list. The rest of the team will provide cover.=/\=

David frowned, but then again why would a engineer be going in with a team of marines and security officers.

"Understood sir. Dawson out."

Rawyvin nodded at the transporter chief. "Energize."

Setting: Engineering Deck, Romulan frigate

After beaming in, the team made a quick sweep of the deck. So far so good. David made his way to a console.

"Damned Dominion..." he grumbled as he opened his engineering kit after removing the panel and set to work.

"I thought you said this was going to be my funeral, eh Dawson?" Rawyvin grinned at David, which the engineer ignored. Rawyvin pointed out to the rest of the team strategic points to hide in case a Jem'Hadar or two should appear...

...then all hell broke loose.

Setting: Water Planet, Shuttle

The rough turbulance of entry into the athmosphere jarred them around the cockpit. Their persuers had broken off, leaving them to fall into the ocean. (Loki silently swore revenge, if they ever made it out alive). Luke cursed several times as the rocking caused him to jerk all around. Momentarily, he looked over at Lea, and managed a grin. "Well... it's better than any amusment park ride at any rate."

"This isn't a time to joke!" Lea shot back, though a trace of a smile attempted to establish itself on her face. The shuttle hit an especially rough patch, jerking them both forward, causing them to forget about any dwindiling levity the situation had to offer. On the screen in front of them, a green, churning sea shown clearly, now that they had passed the cloud layer.

They continued to drop, the ride now considerably smoother. Luke tried, in vain, to slow their decent. "Shit... brace for impact..." he said, grabbing the chair's arms and tightening the straps. Lea quickly followed suit. A few seconds later, a jarring crash/splash jerked them forward against their restraints. The shuttle's view screen showed water at first, and then displayed the surface as they floated back up. In the following moments, everything settled down, and the two looked at each other.

"You alright?" Luke questioned, unstrapping himself and rushing to Lea's side. He helped her undo her straps as she nodded.

"I'm fine. Just a little shaken up," she admitted.

"Looks like we're trapped yet again," Luke grinned, finding levity yet again. "A cell of our own making." He paused. "I'm just glad it's with you."

She blushed at that, and managed to smile. "Why is it that you seem to find a way to make me smile even under the worse of conditions?"

"'Cause I like seeing you smile. It just brightens up your beauty." Lea turned her face away to avoid having to let Luke see how red she had just turned.

Clearing her throat, she turned back. "We need to make a distress signal or something, something to let everyone know where we are."

He frowned. "That'll let the guys we just got away from know we're still alive."

"Its either that, or risk being stranded here forever in the big green sea," she pointed out.

Onison pondered this, and looked around the shuttle. "Well... I know something of the technology they use... maybe I can piece something together..."

Setting: Engineering Deck, Romulan frigate

"I TOLD YOU!" David bellowed over the din as 8 Romulan soldiers fired and pinned the away team behind the warp core, which David was successful n deactivation before the firefight broke out.

"SO...SHOOT ME!" Rawyvin shouted back...and David almost took him up on his offer when a console exploded into a shower of sparks next to him. The CEO glanced around the alcove he was pinned behind, leveled his phaser and fired, bringing down a section of the upper deck on three of the Romulans.

"5 more to go..." David said as he was struck from behind.

"Human *filth*!" the Romulan hissed as one of the security officers fired, but missed...and paid the price. Severly angered, David roared up from the floor and grabbed the Romulan by the neck.

Normally stronger than humans, the Romulan struggled against David's vice like grip, but to no avail. He tried hitting the CEO in the bends of his elbow, but David was having none of that. With a fierce jerk and the sickening snap of bone, the Romulan turned to putty in the hand of the ANUBIS' CEO. The firing ceased and David dropped him. He looked at his hands.

"David....DAVID!" Rawyvin snapped, "stay with us" as he doubled tapped his badge, "Seth to ANUBIS"

=/\=Simmons here Lieutenant.=/\=

"We've taken on fire sir, but we've nullified the situation. We have 1 casuality, 2 fatalities..."

There was silence over the link. =/\= Was one of the fatalities...=/\=

"No sir" Rawyvin anticipating his COs question, "He's right here."

=/\=Status Mr. Dawson=/\=

David stared at his hands...and they were shaking slightly.

=/\=David....report=/\=

"Warp core....weapons....offline Captain." the CEO replied.

=/\=David...this is Serrena. We need you to deactivcate the cloaking device. The lock we have on you is flux..."

David spun on his heels, drew his phaser, and fired on the cloaking generator... quickly evaporating the device.

Rawyvin looked on quizzedly. "Cloaking device is now offline."

There were a few seconds of silence. =/\=Confirmed Captain. We have a lock on the ship.=/\=

=/\=David=/\= James asked, =/\=is it possible to beam the entire frigate to Shuttle bay 2?=/\=

David stood... breathing hard and still looking at his hands.

=/\=Lieutenant?! We haven't much time=/\=

"Main shuttlebay Captain. Its bigger and the rest of the shuttles can be beam to shuttle bay 2."

=/\=Acknowledged. Prepare for transport.=/\=

=====
Setting: Bridge, Romulan frigate

"Sub-Commander, our cloak...its offline!"

"Where in the hell is T'Ranius?!" the sub-commander barked, "have you been able to reach anyone in engineering?"

"No sir...."

"Sir!" the operations officer interjected, "we're being scanned... and..."

=====
Setting: Main Shuttlebay, USS ANUBIS

Several marines and security officers were surrounding the Romulan frigate when it materialized.

"...transported sir."

"Where are we?" as he looked around.

The doors to the bridge opened. Rawyvin and the remaining security detail stormed the bridge.

"*Don't* move!"
