"Modus Operandi"

Setting: USS ANUBIS, Bridge
Responding to the announcement made by the CSciO about the presence of more Romulan life signs onboard the capture frigate, Capt. Simmons dispatch the Sec/Tac and the rest of the available security and Marine personnel to converge on the bridge of the ship to contain the situation.
Observing the situation unfold from the Ops station, the Romulan/Terran hybrid watched with apprehension as the two Romulans who had been discovered hiding in a secret compartment bounced from one side to the other of the small command deck. Recalling a specific aspect of her research into the 'Modus Operandi' of the Tal'Shiar the COO suddenly realized what the next step of the two agents would be: to destroy the frigate and take as much of the ANUBIS along with it. Understanding that time was against them, the Romulan/Terran hybrid turned to look at her CO and quickly informed him of the situation they were facing. "Captain, those two Romulans are working on a way to blow the frigate up and us with it."
Looking a little sceptical about the validity of the statement made by the Romulan/Terran hybrid, the CO still considered what the COO had just said while searching for proof or at least an explanation. "Have you detected a power spike or something else that indicates this?"
Understanding her CO's need for an explanation only made the Romulan/Terran hybrid more adamant in making him and the rest of the bridge personnel realize the predicament that they were in. "No, but according to the report made by Lt. Dawson, the stasis pods that were discovered were inhabited by Tal'Shiar agents, therefore it is more than likely that the two Romulans who were hiding on the bridge are also part of this organization. Standard Tal'Shair MO requires that all traces of the operation be destroyed if they have been discovered."
Recalling that information from his own reading of Intel reports the CO nodded his understanding before giving an order meant to save the majority of the people under his responsibility. "Evacuate the frigate and beam the ship as far out into space as possible. Our ablative amour should take the shock wave and what ever debris might head our way."
Jumping into the fray before the COO could act on the order given by their CO, the CSciO frantically pointed out one aspect of the plan that she believed had been omitted. "Captain, what about Lt. Pravat? We can't just leave him on that ship to be blown into pieces by those Romulan cowards."
Appearing insulted for only a fraction of a second, the Romulan/Terran hybrid pointed out to the CSciO what she should have noted on her own before voicing her objection to the order given. "The Romulans have established a transporter jamming field around the bridge to void us from beaming *them* into space. Our options are limited and if we are to save the ANUBIS we have to act quickly since we have no idea how long it will take them to achieve their objective."
Not at all looking satisfied by the explanation given to her by the COO, the CSciO continue on her crusade to see the Marine 2nd Lt's life be spared. "Captain, I beg of you to reconsider, there has to be another way, I mean we are in possession of technology that is meant to help us deal with difficult situation as we have proven several times so far, surely there is another way of dealing with this without having to add another name to the list of casualties."
Quickly considering the words of the Shillian, Capt. Simmons reconsidered his own position on the situation before opening a comm. Channel and issuing a new set of orders. "Lt. Cmdr. Enaii, we have a situation in Shuttle Bay 1…"
Interrupting the CO, the ILO both acknowledged the call and the order that would follow even before it was spoken, =/\= Already working on it. Coordinating with Lt. Dawson to remotely disable the self-destruct mechanism via computer interface. =/\=
Not really surprised by the speed and efficiency of the ILO, the CO proceeded with the second part of his new orders. "Lt. Seth, take as many men as you can and mount an assault of the frigate's bridge. Primary target is to rescue Lt. Pravat, secondary target is to capture one or both of the Romulans there."
Sounding as if he was already on the run, the Sec/Tac officer replied through the noise of rushing footsteps, =/\= On our way! =/\=
Looking back at the CSciO to see her pleased with the way the CO and the rest of the crew had responded to this latest crisis, Capt. Simmons gave the Shillian her own set of orders. "Keep a very close watch on the ship, its power output and anything else that might indicate that they are about to succeed in destroying the frigate. I want you to inform us the moment something new is detected."
Turning his attention back to the Romulan/Terran hybrid without waiting for any sort of confirmation from the CSciO, the CO gave the last of his new orders, these ones meant to safeguard the rest of the ship in case something unexpected happened. "Lt. Serenna, place the shuttle bay in a level 10 force field and be ready to beam everyone out of there the moment things go astray. If this rescue doesn't work I do not want anyone else having to pay the price. Stand-by with my earlier order to beam the ship out into space, it will be our backup plan. Lastly, try to get Cmdr. Rikar on audio, we need to let her know that she will be on her own for a little while longer."
Hoping that they would not have to resort to the back-up plan, the Romulan/Terran hybrid still stood ready to act for the greater good of the ship and its crew, something that the COO had been ready to do from the start.
