"This is a fine mess Enaii," James grumbled, none too pleased to be placed in this position.

The woman did not make any outward signs that she had any remorse. "You did not expect me to allow him to become a prisoner of war after all he did for me…"

The Captain shook his head, "No, of course not… and I know you had to make it look like a well executed escape in order to keep him safe from suspicion once back in the Tal Shiar… but it's still a mess. We will have to tell the crew *something*, and I am not comfortable with deceiving the Senior Staff."

"I would prefer they not know," Enaii hissed.

"That is not your call," James replied firmly, "No one will think you weak for doing what you did, any one of us would have done it too."

Enaii looked at the man sceptically, clearly displaying her disbelief in his statement.

"You would rather them believe you are a traitor than to believe you showed a single act of humanity?" Captain Simmons challenged.

"I would," the Agent confirmed, "But the issue is not up to me."

"And a good thing," James replied, a little taken aback by this woman's desire to remain cold in the eyes of her peers, "Because it would be very difficult to get anything done with half the crew questioning your every move. I need my Intel Operative to be trusted, at the very least, by the senior members of this crew, and once this mission is completed I intend to hold a staff meeting to inform them of what happened. Until then I think it would be best if you confined yourself to the IGC and your quarters."

Enaii straightened her posture, if nothing else she was an obedient soldier. "Understood."

Nodding, the Captain stood, "Dismissed."

She sat at her desk in the IGC unable to get her mind off the man that she had helped to escape. He had not seen her in his escape, instead having been led along by Floater, and she was both relieved and saddened by that fact. She had wanted to hear him speak, yet being the well trained officer he was, he and his crewmate had escaped without word.

"Commander," a seasoned lieutenant from her team interrupted her thoughts, "The Barracuda is reporting hostile marine life, the Captain has ordered defensive measures."

Enaii nodded her acknowledgement of the update. The IGC crew functioned perfectly beneath her command, as though nothing had happened. On her trip through the Bridge to get here though, she was made to see the wisdom of the Captain's choice to confine her here… though unfazed by their reactions, Enaii could not help but notice exactly how hostile some of the staff had been toward her… somehow she doubted, that even when they knew the truth, they would give up their hostility. But that, she supposed, was yet to be seen.
