Setting: USS ANUBIS, CMO's Office

Searching to discover the truth behind what had happened during the escape of the two Romulan Tal'Shiar agents, the Romulan/Terran hybrid had gone to Sickbay to search for Doctor Nguma in an effort to either disprove or find irrefutable evidence of the ILO's implication in this affair. Finding Ensign Summers, the ANUBIS' former aCMO instead of the CMO had not been a setback, but what they found together while trying to locate Enaii's medical records, and more specifically her blood type and DNA signature, had been an entirely different matter.

Looking at the aCMO with disdain, the COO scowled at the Ensign although she had not been the cause of their inability to go any further. "If the information is restricted, than get Doctor Nguma, I will explain the situation to him and request that he turn over the medical information we need over as part of an ongoing investigation."

Leaning back into the chair normally occupied by the ship's CMO, Ensign Summers shook her head hinting that the solution would not be so easy, a trend that was becoming a little too common for the COO's liking. "You don't get it, Lt. Cmdr. Enaii's entire medical file and history are not only restricted, they are classified. So much so that I doubt that Doctor Nguma would be able to access them even if he needed to. Either there is something very important hiding inside the ILO's file, or SFI figures that she is indestructible and would never require any sort of medical intervention."

Thinking about the validity of the aCMO's statement, the Romulan/Terran hybrid figured that there had been something in the files that SFI had not wished to be known, not accepting the alternative that the ILO had been some kind of invulnerable being although there had been times that perception had been easily made. Accepting that Enaii's ability to remain unharmed, or hide her injuries from others when she was hurt had been nothing more than a skill learned during her many years under the banner of SFI. If the COO understood one thing about life in the world of Intel, it was that showing any sign of weakness could prove to be fatal in certain situations.

Having come to a dead end in her search for the truth, the Romulan/Terran hybrid turned away from the aCMO while she tried to come up with another way to see if the ILO and the two Romulan escapees shared a common bloodline. Spinning around on her heels after a few moments, the COO faced Ensign Summers once again, the aCMO who had gotten up from the chair almost being knocked off her feet by the abruptness of the action. "If I could get you a blood sample of her daughter, would you be able to use it for a comparison?"

Looking absolutely stunned by the revelation that an enigmatic person such as the ILO, who had her entire medical dossier sealed, could have an offspring, the aCMO took a moment to think of her answer. "The daughter would only possess half of the genetic code of her mother making the task that much more difficult. It would be like trying to figure out if two pieces belonged to the same puzzle without having a master image."

A very faint smile flashed over the lips of the Romulan/Terran hybrid at such a high rate of speed that the aCMO could not tell if it had been there at all or if she had just imagined it. Leaning closer to the Ens. Summer, the COO asked, "But it can be done?"

Leaning back against the CMO's desk, if only to insure that there had still been a comfortable space between her and the Romulan/Terran hybrid, the aCMO nodded, "Yes it is doable. With the right equipment and enough time I could probably figure out the entire genealogical history, but I'm guessing that is not the idea."

Leaving the Ensign sitting on the desk, the COO rushed out of the CMO's office calling out her last instructions, "Have your equipment ready, I will be back with the sample as soon as I have enlisted the assistance of a few people."

Wondering what kind of story she had found herself in the middle of, Ens. Summers scratched the back of her neck as she allowed the full weight of her body to rest on the desk. "Why is it that I have a bad feeling about this?"

Setting: USS ANUBIS, Corridor

Knowing that reaching the ILO's daughter would not be an easy task, the Romulan/Terran hybrid had immediately thought of approaching the Sec/Tac officer and Marine CO, both of whom had openly displayed their position in regards to Enaii's guilt in the escape. Although the actual intent of all this had been to hopefully prove that the ILO had not been responsible for what had occurred, the COO knew that she would be able to enlist the help of the two men.

Walking down one of the corridors of the ship, the plans of the Romulan/Terran hybrid came to halt when she heard the voice of the ANUBIS' CO call out to her. "Lt. Serenna, I thought I had told all of the senior staff to get some rest?"

Snapping to attention after having turned around to face Capt. Simmons, the Romulan/Terran hybrid debated for a very brief moment about informing her CO of the investigation that she had started. Since he had not requested it, the COO quickly thought to keep the information to herself. "I was finding my quarters a little too restrictive after all of the excitement we went through, so I thought a stroll around the ship would help clear my thoughts."

Peering into the eyes of the COO, the CO seemed sceptical about the explanation that he had been given; trying as best as he could to figure out if what he had been told was the truth and if not why would the Romulan/Terran hybrid lie to him?
